Great to see things moving now! Congrats to all with interviews!

I've just been offered an interview for N.Derbys - and that's after my 'home' area (S.Yorks) only gave me one pass out of the five comps?!

I've opted for 9th March, simply because I need the time after having thought it was all over. So, now to start cramming for the interview and get my brain back into gear :)

    Now.

I have applied for Birmingham, with (no offence intended) higher scores than that... but as that's not my 'home' district, does that mean that if the scores set are higher at 'home' that I'll be completely out of the running for B&S??

Doesn't seem fair somehow... still nothing from BC.

I'm already plotting a harshly worded letter in my head.

Not sure - Birmingham is not my home district and my scores there are now 1 though they did sift my scores origionally which Staffs And Shropshire then used to update my comp scores yesterday referring me to the comments still available on the Birmingham application. My scores for the record were 77676. I expected Staffs and Shrops to interview me and was surprised to get an interview in B'ham. Still they do say an interview in one place does not impact getting a job in another area as I would prefer S&S or BC over B'ham.

I wonder if that will apply to me?

My home district sent me an 'unsuccessful' email but now a neighbouring area passed my comps and I have an interview.

Obviously I would want to work as close to home as possible but I doubt that I would be offered a position in my home area now........ :o

Still, I'm grateful for the turnaround - and it's only a 45 min journey so not complaining!

Did your home district mark your comps differently to the other district, or was the bar for interview set higher there? That's confusing. Grats on your interview. :T
  • Congrats to everyone who has won an interview so far, I appreciate how much just an interview means in the current climate

Received some ridiculous 'feedback' (for want of a better word) yesterday afternoon for Staffs and Shrops (my home postcode area) - all 1's

Building Capability - Behavioural Rating 1

Building Capability - Behavioural Comment No specific examples provided Please note:- This feedback does not mean that you will or will not be invited for interview. Once all application forms for this vacancy have been considered we will then decide which applicants are to be invited to the interview stage. You will receive further notification to confirm the outcome of your application shortly.

The same pathetic excuse for feedback had been copy and pasted next to each competency!!

As others have mentioned, receiving emails etc with inadequate grammar/spelling and so on really does grate when you know you are capable of higher standards...I'm not being arrogant but I really don't think my competencies deserved a '1' each by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't know why their incompetency comes as a surprise, I know what they're like having already worked for them - I'm just so desperate for a job! Aah well, the recruitment 'helpline' will be hearing from me tomorrow...:D
When you're going through hell, keep going...

    Thanks :D

My home district scored me 3,4,1,3,2 and the other one scored me 4,4,4,5,5 which is why I don't think I would be offered a position where I live?

Completely contradictory but then - from the way things have been going - wouldn't expect anything less!

I know it's the weekend but...
Grateful if applicants from East London (& Essex) would let me know in the next couple of days whether all of you have received interview notifications (or a negative response, as the case might be).:(
Might need to chase it up - an e-mail address for East London inquiries appreciated.

I have apps into East and North London, scores from North London but no further response. Similar scores as some who have interviews with East London, but nothing from them either. Wondering if the East London interviews are initially going out to people with single apps in??? Who knows how this system works?? Not sure if the DWP do either!:rotfl:
