This whole competency business just shows what a joke this recruitment has been... Has anyone noticed that the question on the competency asked us to give "Yours Skills and Experiences"..... not "An example" or "One specific example"....

Useless DWP worded it wrong. Some people thus just happened to give one example, and some gave a list of their skills and experiences....

The link this bloke is on about was a non-descript URL in the middle of the vacancy page, which you then had to click through another 4 links to get to the competency pdf.......

    TOTAL JOKE!..... Run by jokers......

    Very true.

    Double True.

I hate to burst the bubbles of the people who keep saying the info was there. Get over yourselves, you obviously had a heads up on the DWP or competencies in general.

There were was 2 ways to access the info,

    1. Go through a vague and discreet link that was hidden under 4 categories/links and find the competency guide.

    2. Google DWP competency guide, (again you had to be aware and be looking for it).

The DWP Failed at mentioning the GUIDE directly at the JOB post/advert, failed to advertise it or even correctly outline the necessities in the competency section of the application, and failed to attach the guides under job attachments.

The DWP failed, it's simple. Stating otherwise is just trolling.

Think you're the one who needs to get over it. You're entitled to your POV but no need to be rude.

Plus the fact that "skills and experiences" is plural; how can they then mark applicants down who give more than one experience?

I am over it, I know I failed even though I haven't got my results, I am !!!!ed and I have the right to be, they wasted my time and a lot of others time, when they could have been a lot more sensible and professional. I'm talking about the DWP as a whole organisation here. Don't put your focus on me as an individual, in fact don't talk to me. Bye.

Its not just us. I have had PMs from others about this but I am not going to say names because that wouldnt be fair

I've also had straight 1's in the same format as yours for Birm/Solihull, but no comment on mine about referring to other areas.

I could understand some level of disparity in marking, but I'm struggling to see how they are all 1's given that I scored more highly for other areas.
