  • It does seem silly to have different scores from different regions for the same competencies... surely the sifters are all using the same scoring framework???

you can have the best framework in place, but what looks good to one person does not necessary look good to others.
  • I have logged on nearly everyday to see if there have changed status still awaiting review! How frustrating!! Yet my partner applied for an English Teachers job on 3rd Feb and has an interview next week!!!!
The wait is doing my head in! Well at least we find out one way or another eh not like some jobs I've applied for in the past where they can't even be bothered to send you an email saying thanks but no thanks!
I applied for something similar last year with the civil service and it is such a lengthy wait.....applied in Feb interviewed in April started in August....!
  • I wonder if they're sorting alphabetically in Birmingham and Solihull. By any chance do the people who have their competencies back have surnames in the first ten letters of the alphabet? Just curious. :)

My scores for Brum came up yesterday afternoon and my last name starts with a letter in the first 5 of the alphabet :).

Still nothing for Staffs and Shropshire or Black Country though. It will be interesting to see what the scores are for those and how they compare to my Brum scores. It is so subjective - but then so are interviews!!

Thank you. That suggests to me a little that they may be moving alphabetically. If that's true, based on my surname, I should expect to hear round about midweek. :)

My surname starts within the first 10 letters of the alphabet and my scores are there. ;)

By Jove, perhaps I've weedled out their logic. Soon for me, then, I hope. :)

You may as well stop complaining now Erazor because the links are there, you just have to put in a bit of effort to locate them. If you're unable to do that then maybe you're not up to doing the job either.

Well I'm sorry if my complaining is annoying people but I stand by what i said earlier.

Here is a picture showing you my only link and reference to the competency notes: http://imageshack.us/f/819/90347206.jpg/

it is vague, it is uninstructed. Why would you leave the civil service page to go looking specifically something that you are unaware of? I like a normal person proceeded with Civil service Page expecting vital information to be given to me at the appropriate time.

I cannot believe some people on here getting onto personal levels and telling me I’m not fit for the role and lack of efforts, with people high fiving themselves on ridiculous comments. How is writing 1000 words and doing an hour test but failing to find a competency guide a sign of “lack of effort”.

If a company has strict and specific hoops you need to jump through they should be more obvious in their needs.

But seriously why are you peopling applying for a job as an advisor to deal with the youths of today when you have the attitude of “you are unable to do the job”, Tut-tut.
