hi All,
We do operate UK based contact centres in addition to those offshore.
Customers can also utilise our members forum, which is UK based and physically cannot be operated on scripts as each and every post is dynamically tailored to customers posts.
You can also tweet us and contact via Facebook if necessary, which is very accessable from mobile devices should you need support while away form home.
Regards
Mark
TalkTalk Online Community Department“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Talk Talk. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
I cringed. I cringed when I saw the last update in a Virgin Vs TalkTalk thread was a TalkTalk representative.
Why. Well because I knew this was not going to go well.
And what do you know...TalkTalk_Company_Representative wrote: »hi All,

And of course the customer has the option for EVERY call and EVERY topic which to get through to right? Otherwise this point is well, pointless.TalkTalk_Company_Representative wrote: »Customers can also utilise our members forum, which is UK based and physically cannot be operated on scripts as each and every post is dynamically tailored to customers posts.
What the? You have GOT to be kidding right?
Ok, in relation to the cannot be operated on scripts - so you can't copy and paste then huh?
'Every post is dynamically tailored' - what do you mean exactly? You read it and then post and the post changes itself as the thread evolves?
Sheesh that's some corporate b-bingo right there folks!TalkTalk_Company_Representative wrote: »You can also tweet us and contact via Facebook if necessary, which is very accessable from mobile devices should you need support while away form home.

Really? Thanks for that.
Can I suggest one thing - stay out of service comparison threads, your reply, for me underlines the reason why you keep getting the spoon.0 -
i was with TT some years ago before a switch to O2. there customer service was truely aweful as was the connection - i live in maldon, essex. that said, my O2 broadband has reduced from 800k solid/stable connection to at best 500k now. i asked why it had dropped by half and she said thats all you can get. even though i had 800k for 5yrs solid. off topic, i know.
TT - avoid. and they have 18mth contracts so your knackered should it go tits up.0 -
TalkTalk is alright actually for the price you're paying for their services. If you want better service, I recommend Sky or something, but if you're happy with low-cost and but standard quality TT is not bad at all.
I've found them pretty good in general. The CS is not the best but I've had far worse CS off other companies including utilities and mobiles.
For some reason they seem to stir up resentment in people who've never ever used them! I can understand dissatified customers slagging them off, but someone on another fourm was trying to persude me to ditch TT on account they were "crap", when I told him I'd been with them 6 years and they've been fine, and asked him how long he'd used them for, he said, "err, never, but I know what they're like"!!
Like I'm really going to take notice of someone with zero experience compared to my 6 years :rotfl:0 -

Thinking of switching suppliers from Virgin Media to TalkTalk. Mainly because TalkTalk are offering a cheaper price compared to what I'm paying. I'm a faithful Virgin customer and haven't got a bad word to say against them, however I've had a lot of problems with my broadband since connecting in September. Virgin have helped me a lot with the issues, but it seems to be a general problem with my line with Virgin won't fix until it gets worse.
You know what? In your shoes I would ring VM (during a weekday if at all possible), and tell them you want to end your contract. They will ask why. You explain that you have an ongoing tech problem which they don't seem willing or able to fix, and you believe you can get better service for less.
I think they may offer to put a bit of effort into getting your problem solved under these circumstances, they MIGHT even match the TT price you have been quoted - in your shoes I would be more concerned with getting the tech issues solved.
I have no personal experience of TT, but friends who want down that route had all sorts of technical and billing issues, and moved onto BT as soon as they could break free.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -
Virgin media, TalkTalk and Sky are all nightmare companies as far as I can work out, use BT or a smaller company0
