i am sure someone has stolen it!!!

please can any body give me any advise on the following matter.
Basically my daughter got a deal with orange for an Iphone and an Ipad.
The parcel came yesterday and i signed for it. it wasnt my parcel so i just put it on the side for my daughter
when she looked in it only the ipad was in it.
upon further inspection of the packaging there is a small cut in the bag. ( enough to get the IPhone out)
i didnt see this when i signed for it.
my daughter phoned up orange and they said that there was definatly two items in the bag.
my daughter said that ornage wont send her another one as i already signed for the parcel...
please can anyone help me as i dont know what to do.

as the Iphone would have been boxed it must have been quite a large cut in the bag surely?
  • as i said when i looked at the bag- its got about a four inch cut in it.
do not have any idea how big an iphone box is though.

  • I phone box is pretty bulky

It wouldn't fit through 4" hole - you have to put your complaint in writing that there was only one item in the bag

Did the delivery guy tell you how many items you were signing for or did you not bother to check?
  • all i knew was there was one parcel.
i didnt know if both the pad and the phone were coming in the same parcel.
the delivery guy just said sign here and shot off.

    How horrible for you.

I am in the habit now of when ordering items such as this to open before I sign.

I even did this when I ordered some concert tickets from Ebay and they were sent special delivery just to make sure they were in there!!

Even so, I would insist to them that only one of the items was received and pursue it further.
  • i have phoned up the delivery company and they are investigating.

do i report this matter to the police.
can orange just automatically block it?

I would get on to orange. As far as you are concerned you signed for one package that only contained an IPAD and you have no phone.Make them sort it out. If they refuse, how was it paid for? If it was a credit card get in touch with the credit card provider and get them to do a charge back as orange have not provided you with the phone.
  • it was a new contract deal.
i dont think dd has paid any money up front for it.

Then keep on to Orange that they have not provided the phone.Do not let them fobb you off.
