    Davidcampebell, I think you're right about the ctc's, its just co-incidence, not so confident in the call centre's as you though! All I know is the line went dead and I didn't hang up first.....!

    As one of the earlier posters said , set these payments up as Bill Payments and you have total control over what goes to who and when. This way , you can always be sure the funds are available before payment is made , and they still show up as a standing order on your statements .

    Sunflower - you and me both! my only consolation is - I reckon that with constantly changing my standing orders every week (normally without the problems I had this time!) I do get my money's worth! :)
