Cat I'm so sorry.
Surely they will have to accept that they have made errors now? Good luck when you contact them, deep breaths. In my new basket: A slightly whiffy blanket; Racy’s 2nd favorite jumper; remains of a slipper; 2 sticks (1 chewed); bouncy ball collection (4); Racy’s iPod :shhh: and a large sock (found under Racy's bed)

ummmm, I guess if I try and look on the bright side this has possibly helped me!?

Am now debating whether to ring them again, or ring the IT dept, go and actually visit my local branch (20mile round trip!) or forget all that and just write and complain!Make the most of life, it is not a rehearsal!0 -
Update! I have just realised, those 2 showing on this morning were actually done yesterday (after 3pm) yet they didn't show yesterday, luckily I save the page everyday, and I didn't overwrite yesterdays today, I saved it seperately so can see both! This means that two of my changes done on the 16th have, in effect, gone through properly, apart form the fact that both the original amounts went out yesterday as well! confused, I am!
so to try and summerise this
Weds evening I changed the date of 6 SO's to the next week, and 2 of those I also changed the amount.
Thursday am all 6 went out at original date/amount
Friday am it shows the two I changed the amount out also went out Thurs at the new amount.Make the most of life, it is not a rehearsal!0 -
IN the T's & C's for a cardcash account , Halifax say that they can take standing orders out a day early if they want and tuff titty if you don't like it , including Sundays !! . This doesn't mean , of course , that they clear cheques a day earlier !
As one of the earlier posters said , set these payments up as Bill Payments and you have total control over what goes to who and when. This way , you can always be sure the funds are available before payment is made , and they still show up as a standing order on your statements .Growing OLD is Compulsory
Growing UP is OPTIONAL !!0 -

I recall once I changed a standing order online, everything went fine and I double checked that the change was okay.
A few days later I logged on to find that the S/O had reverted to the previous one ???
I called them up and they started asking me are you sure you changed it  Yeh I'm 101% certain I did, now evertime I change an S/O I have to wonder will it revert back or not0 -

Don't know quite what they are playing at but something funny is going on.
Just before Easter last year CTC and Child Benefit were paid into my account on unusual days. The same happened to my sister-in-law.0 -
Deemy2004, I got the same kind of questions, "are you sure.....", seems like the only way to be sure would be to save the file page every time you make a change!?Make the most of life, it is not a rehearsal!0

for the future it still would probably better to have the standing orders set up as bill payments and each month to set up the date and amount you want the payments to leave the account.0

thats got nothing to do with halifax. they only pay it in when they receive it. either ctc have sent it earlier or it got processed through bacs system quickerAs with all call centres they have to answer so many calls in a set time. Some of them can't get away fast enough and yes I have had the phone picked up and put straight down- obviously gatting their average time per call right down!
all?? thats a bit of a sweeping generalisation is it not??
im pretty sure you will find that what you describe would be classed as call avoidance (which for most call centre agent is a sackable offence, or at the very least a disciplinary issue). if they are doing this they will be found out sooner rather than later.0
