Check the date of those postings.
MS Money has been working on Windows 10 for months.

Thank you Easymoney, how long has Money been working with windows 10 for you? There are just so many posts on Windows site with people saying it worked fine... then suddenly it stopped

    Thanks
    Adam

I upgraded about 12/14 months ago, I had no problems at all.

There are numerous other personal finance packages. Almost none of them provide decent migration from MS Money. AceMoney is about the only one that does.

But why pay for (and have to learn) another piece of software when MS Money works fine in Win10 with just the minor registry change that's easy to implement. I have been on Win10 since it was publicly released (Sep15?) and, like others have said, am having no issues with MS Money.

I'm also using the Gaier Software program to import all my stock prices and I am not sure how good other money manager programs are at handling shares and share price updates.

If Money stops working when Windows 11 is released then that's the time to look around in my view but given that Win10 now appears to be a stable release I can't see myself upgrading for a few years anyway

That registry change is no longer necessary.

Yes as others have said Money now works fine on Windows 10. I even have have it running on a laptop and main pc with the money file stored on OneDrive and so I can open it from either machine and it works flawlessly, the backup up is stored locally. I have records going back to 1996

Well I can confirm that MS Money now works with Windows 10 (because I heard of weird fixes in the registery required to persuade this old, but wonderful, programme to work, I had been dithering over upgrading).
At the weekend with great trepidation I wiped the hard disk and installed the Windows 10 upgrade, reloaded MS Money, and 5 days in it is still working fine, no fixes no nasties at all!!!

Very happy - all my data going back to 2004 is present and correct :):)
