Stclair - if a replacement card is ordered does NatWest system replace like for like or will it upgrade if eligible without another application?

If you have the credit restricted select silver account you will never be considered for one unless you open a new account.

If you have select silver account that is not credit rescricted I would say you could request a service card after least 6 months of good account conduct.

I had the Step Account for 18 months, which I upgraded to Select Silver (albeit still a basic account) in October last year.

Do we need to organise a "purple" party? :j

Well and by the look of it I do not seem to have a chance to join you guys, at least till I find some one in Natwest who understands what a service card is or if Natwest still issue such cards or if one is actually eligible for it or not or how to order one if one actually is.

How can the staff of one of the biggest high street bank be so ignorant about what products they offer is just beyond my belief !!!!!

Can you tell me is there anyway for me to actually contact a department or some one in Natwest to actually find out if qualify for the 'purple' service card or not ?

Mines a full advantage gold current account. I had a £6 charge in Nov for going over my o/d by £15 as an unexpected direct debit went out and i didn't make it to the bank until 3pm to put money in. Direct debit was still paid. Assume I'd have to wait til may to apply now

You will just need to speak to your branch. Did you not discuss it during your appointment? or you not had it yet?

There will be some changes in February anyway as the bank will start to issue contactless debit cards to selected customers on a pilot basis.
