Sorry to go OT. This evening I tried something I had never done before. I set my camera up outside and left it to do its thing whilst I went and sat in the warm with a cup of coffee.... few hours later...

Not bad for a first attempt, I now have a better idea of what I need to do to make it better. It's all just part of the learning curve.

OH wants to know how long the timer was on for? TIA

Artha, I've been keeping my counsel in the hope this was going to sort itself out, but it seems it isn't going to quickly, as others come onto the thread.

As far as I know, and I may be wrong, it was Kadison and myself who responded to what was probably a flippant, though possibly unfortunate, remark by fourp regarding the "poncey" name of Rupert.

Unless there's been more to this than meets the eye/ posts I haven't seen/ complaints behind the scenes etc, then I don't honestly think that anyone has been nasty or unpleasant or intended to be so to anyone else. I certainly haven't, and both kadison and I have immediately made it clear we want fourp to be on the thread. These things are a two way street you know :). I repeat your last sentence and my earlier post - come back fourp, we're generally a friendly and harmless bunch!
oops sorry:o I think I must have missed something along the way. I was just trying to give him a bit of a boost for his own reaction to the flack he got for his unitentional "faux pas". Did my post offend? Hope not. If it did sincere apologies::o

As I said in my original reply to the person (was it you or Kadison?) I can understand how someone can feel hurt by an innocent(but perhaps ill advised) comment in cold text. I've been the butt of many jokes about a certain aspect of my appearance over the years and ever since early adolescence. These values are unfortunately ingrained in our society and accepted just because respected/popular comedians etc make jokes about these things. I personally have suffered terribly over the years with comments from friends thinking that they are making a widely accepted joke but I can assure you it hurts to the core:( Sorry rant over:)
    Awaiting a new sig

Nor do I. It is just a waste of space at either side of the page.
