Westvleteren wrote: »Sorry to go OT. This evening I tried something I had never done before. I set my camera up outside and left it to do its thing whilst I went and sat in the warm with a cup of coffee.... few hours later...
Not bad for a first attempt, I now have a better idea of what I need to do to make it better. It's all just part of the learning curve.
Love it Westvleteren. Always fun to stretch oneself artistically and technologically. Did one attempt a sausage casserole?Hope is not a strategy.0 -
Well, it was slimming class tonight and, as we expected, we had GAINED weight as we had been drinking whiskey and eating KoKo's and CDM since we lost Bonnie. I gained 1 1/2 lbs and Mr 3dogs gained 2 1/2 lbs ......... though I must confess to eating much more choccies then Mr 3Dogs, for once
Still, tomorrow is another day and we will be back on plan
Loosing a member of the family is more important, you've had such a sad and tough week to deal with. Good for you for getting back to it tomorrow.0 -
Found a few 1p items today the cadbury tree choc's, Christmas horibo's and a disney princess lucky bag in stocking shape
they were all in my local, i had to go to merthyr later so as i'm stuck with no money till i can go to the bank tomorrow thanks to that stupid cash machine eating my card! i thought i would return some hair straighteners, spoke to CS and they said yes no problem just got to get it authorised so had to stand around for 15-20 for woman to come to be told No you cant have a refund here!! even though we are t's and we stock them you've got to take them back to the store you bought it!! Is this right? i wasnt told that when i had to return something last year!
anyway no refund for mei had a quick look around and found loads and loads of the cadbury tree chocs and mr men sweets and chocolate coins :T only to get to the till and have the tree chocs and mr men all taken off me as they scan as recalled item :mad: i dont know why i ever go to that store ohh and the croc bin odour were there on the clip strip but scan as £1.80 something
Oh and HOHOHO christmas keyring scans at 38p
I hate that storethe only 1p thing that still goes through OK is the Sarah Smith wipes. The thing is , all the 1p items scan fine on the instore scanner and get your hopes up,then recalled at SS!
They even have the cheek to bring in new 1p items that weren't it last time you went and still they are recalled! Makes no sense to me and they won't be getting my custom anytime soon. They'll miss that 17p I was going to spend.Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -
See what I mean, another lovely person that puts me to shame when I think I'm doing well in pressing the Thanks Button then you show me up as the shallow individual I really am

Velvet tissues £1.99 less 40p coupon in the same magazine, £1.50 in A so 49p JTD = £1.10 a box
Plenty 'the big one', 2 roll pack £3.49 less 50p coupon in the same magazine - £2.00 in A so £1.49 JTD = £1.50 per pack
Even better, there are printable coupons on the coupon thread which you could use at the same time as the T mag ones
For example the other day I used 3 separate coupns on Andrex Moist Tub - 90p printable, 50p through door, and different 50p printableMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

speed scanning ......just how many penny items can you scan at self serve while the SA deals with a unexpected item in bagging area at till 4?
speed paying.......how fast can you pay - timed from last item to receipt in hand!
wombling (outdoor) ......how many receipts can you collect in gale force 5 ? avoid trolleys/security guards/other wombles/skateboarding teens
wombling (indoor) aka bin diving! You have 10 seconds - grab as many as you can........avoid other customers/trouts/the more vertically challenged of us should be allowed smaller bins as health and safety risk!
Security run around.......how many times can you get the security guard to follow you around the same aisle?! complete circles only!
Trolley fill- fill your trolley, off to price check scanner, scan all items, put all back on correct shelves as none were 1p!
Scanner count......how many trips can you make to the price check scanner in one visit?
Top shelf reach!......use of other customers/staff allowed (encouraged) but extra points for style whilst balancing on a trolley!
omg the things we do !
Please oh pleaselet this be on the first page , whoever volunteers to kick it off!
This is just what we need to set the tone of our new thread.
Whoever starts it, please include the trout fishing sport too that someone cleverly suggested as an addition to the above:T
Very clever n funny guys. But sooo true!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
