Good morning. Well done to those that got cheap chocolate, I will not be rushing out the door for this one, surely there will be a healthy glitch soon!
PLEASE
Me neither apart from the fact I hate chocolate, and o/h isn't that keen, I got 3 of the little lindt teddys that was our only Xmas choc and all 3 are still here0 -
Morning all. Later will head down to Tesco to see if they have any of those eggs left. Whilst I'm trying to restrict my chocolate supply I can think of a few people that would appreciate them. Including my daughter by making some easter type cakes at the relevant time.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Bought 5 packs of toasta bags as mentioned here, £1.75 SEL, charged £3.99. CS told me I wasn't entitled to DTD as I used SS.
Told her she was wrong, Manager came and backed her up. Tried calling HO but it was 20:20 and HO was shut.
Was then told it was down to the Store whether they offered DTD through SS or not, and this store didn't. Argued for a good ten minutes then left. Refused refund and told them I'd contact HO first thing requesting they are re-trained.

I would also tell them that as the sign behind CS did not specify which tills to use to receive dtd on their mispriced items, you would be contacting trading standards as you felt that the sign was 'misrepresentation' as it did not display exceptions!0 -
That must have been awful but like you say, if that's what's happening where you live then it will become like a way of life. It must have been very strange for everyone to adjust xx
The funny thing was when the ceasefires were anounced I was in high school and an American TV company had asked permission from the education board to interview schools across the city and ours was one of the many chosen.
The question that had us all confused was "so what's it like to live in a normal country now?" This got us all saying that they way we lived was normal to us, we were all 1979/80 babies, and knew no other way of life. One of the girls told them that being searched going into every shop was normal and she wouldn't feel safe otherwise.
Aparently this was the reaction they got from many schools except the few that they had sent the questions to in advance so that they would be able to pretend that we were asked before the ceasefire and the others were asked after! Talk about staged TV:rotfl:SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

I remember back in about 1970, my auntie (a Catholic in Wales) had two young children from NI come to stay with her for the summer holidays. Liz and Cathy. They were strangers to her but this had all been arranged by the nuns. The two young girls brought presents for our family. They gave my uncle real rubber bullets! They seemed pleased to give them to him but we all stood around confused and bemused!
My dad had one in a glass display unit, always used to tell me and my bro that it was one that hit him while we stood in awe of him. It was only years later that I saw one being fired on tv that I realised he couldn't have been hit or he would have been seriously injured.
Good story though to go with a strange item. When we moved house my mum didn't want it so left it, cue some serious arguments from the folks.
Apparently Dad had found it lying on the road when going to visit my dying grandad and it was the last thing he'd shown him. Grandad asked him to keep it for him until he'd got home so that's what he'd done but had never said this to mum otherwise she would have just packed it away for moving.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
