Evening guys, I've been slowly catching up today - I've seen lots of great whoopsies and a few deals but still no good glitch :(

My day didn't go to plan - Mr 3Dogs got up at 3.15 am as he was awake and he watched S'land match :j2 great goals :j from Sky+ and had a leisurely breakfast, then told me to stay in bed as, he said, it was silly for me to be getting up at that time and he would be ok doing car boot on his own. He went down to car boot at 5.30 am. I was still in bed when I heard him coming back in the house at 11.30 am ........ in agony with the other side of his back, but not sciatica luckily. It had just gone on him, so he had to pack everything away, with a mate helping, and come home. He put ice on it but was unable to walk when he tried to get up to take dogs out, but I said don't be silly I will take them out, so I got ready and took them for a walk, nearly getting blown away in the process  He is a little better now, so hope it will ease overnight

I did pop to Mr T's at 3.45 pm but no whoopsies worth having :( so just picked up ciggies & fruit for my disabled friend

We realised today that our youngest dog Billy is missing Bonnie, whereas Bess doesn't seem to be. Billy will not eat his food from 'Bonnie's place' and will only eat it if in his own place. He was just sitting next to me last night and started to whine for no reason, and he did it today too. They are both very quiet actually, just lying about, not playing, so made sure I got them playing together earlier tonight

I hope blondynurse is getting on ok without her Tammy :(:(

Animals do strange things when one of them "goes", when I lost my cat Zippy last year another of my cats went over to where Zippy used to sleep that afternoon, sat by the bed and made this really odd crying sound. He did it 5 or six times then walked away. He'd never done it before and not since- it was very weird.

They must relate to each other on a different level to us and they must experience the loss too in a different way. I'm convinced my cat was saying something on "cat" level to Zippy :( I'm not a religious or spiritual person at all but there's a lot we don't understand where animals are concerned, they are much brighter than we might give them credit for! After all, they found us didn't they!

    :A

Eggs - Sorry to ask a really silly question, but should eggs be kept in the fridge?

I got a pack of 6 to make the cupcake mix, but I never normally buy them. If I eat eggs I get a terrible headache.
I'm confused because they were not in the fridge in the shop, but they say on keep refridgerated.

I usually keep my eggs in the fridge as they will keep a bit longer, I used eggs today, that were best before 6th Jan (after a quick check in a jug of water to see if they were still ok). You can store them either way, so it's entirely up to you and how quickly you intend to use them :)

And then I had a disaster in T's :( I tried to return a faulty electrical item I had dtd on and was told I could only exchange and they don't stock it so I would have to return to the original store! Which is quite out of my way and today was the 28th day after purchase. I shall phone CS tomorrow and hopefully get a better solution, fingers crossed!

Sorry to hear about your t's trip today Fudge :(, although don't worry about the 28 day return policy.
Firstly, any purchases made from, Nov 11th (or thereabouts) are subject to the christmas extended returns policy and can be returned up to 31st Jan.
Also any electrical item that is faulty, will have a 1 year guarantee from T's (will be on the bottom of the receipt, shown as a barcode)
So you still have another 337 days left :D
And finally, if you have a direct counter or collection point and the item is available online, you should be able to order and then exchange when it arrives or ask for a refund onto a giftcard to then order the item at the direct desk (I have seen this happen with no probs).
    hth :)
    Evening all :)
A women in my queue today said no to a brand match voucher (sainsburys) £5 worth!! I explained it to her yet she just left it behind near the bags on my till. I even shouted after her:o and she said you have it:eek: then the rest of the queue consisted of 3 kids all buying the lunch time deal (sandwich+drink+crisp for £3) in separate transactions so I kept it.

However now I feel very guilty about it:(:( i shouldn't have kept it!

EDIT: I think I'm gonna give it away to the first customers on my next shift!

p.s. I'm not a Trout before anyone asks! I like seeing someone get a bargain!! :)

Noooo, don't feel guilty and give the voucher away. The customer obviousley had far too much money to care about it and told you to keep it, so that's what you should do.
I managed to womble one of these the other day for £1.48 and will def be spending that one :D

  • Evening, hope the lights aren't out already?! I've only just caught up, internet problems again

Had a sligtly better whoopsie journey today, got my timings a bit better! Came away with some chicken, frying steak and sausages :D Although my OH is starting to think I've got a bit of a sausage obsession :rotfl: There's rather a lot in the freezer at the moment!

The £5 off £40 is burning a hole in my pocket as well, even though I don't really have £40 to spend in the first place! :A

I don't drink wine, but a large Pepsi Max will do nicely, thanks ;).

I seem to remember that Firefiz was Percival's half brother (or maybe cousin) from the Grail legends.

I know him from mediaeval German literature, his mother was an African princess and his father was a German knight, and because of the ignorance of the age, he was striped! Happy memories of sitting in lectures taking notes, looking down the row at my friends' notes, and because they couldn't remember how Firefiz was spelled, it was "Stripey did this, and Stripey did that!" As we are both different nationalities and we liked the name, we thought it would be good, but our DS turned out to be a DD!

I guess they're probably with similar roots, so barmaid, a large Pepsi for Mrs B please! Would you like a whisky chaser with that? :)
    Hope is not a strategy.
