RIP oor wee Tammy. She went is now at peace. OH and myself cried our eyes out, we are never going through that again. we took her her usual wee walk this morning, i cooked her mince which she ate, cuddled her constantly, i think she knew, the lady vet said it was the only thing we could do she said she thinks Tammy has cushions syndrome and diabetes as well as major organ failure, she reasured us that Tammy agitation and constant hunger as well as everything else was making her an unhappy wee dog and it was best to go ahead and do what we were doing. When she passed she looks so content and settled hubby and I both said we hadn't seen her so at peace for years. Thank you all for your words of comfort and kindness. my daughter stayed up all night cuddling Tammy on the couch she is 17 and can't remember life before we had Tammy. I noticed this morning she has a picture of Tammy on her bedside cabanet facing her bed. xxxxxxxxx

It's Cushings syndrome and that's what they thought Bonnie had too. A small (3mm) tumour on the pituitary gland which led to her uncharacteristic behaviour, hunger, thirst, incontinence, etc just like Tammy. I obviously know exactly how you are feeling and feel it with you hun :A
Just out of interest I note a 'new' poster came on here last night and caused considerable upset. Their post is still here. I think far more people would be offended and disgusted by that than any of HC's colourful language. Food for thought there.

I reported said post last night as it was hurtful and totally uncalled for, but it is still there. Did anyone else report it to abuse team I wonder?

Obviously you're not a cricket fan then:rotfl: Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Good old 'Jack' Russell, wicket keeper, and painter, extraordinaire :j :j

I made lots of notes as I caught up today, so please bear with me:

Tinyshoes - glad that your Mum's appointment went reasonably OK and that you had a lovely shopping expedition with her afterwards :D

Motherbear - what a lovely sweet story, about Belker :D:D

Kadison - I've never seen Simon's Cat before and really enjoyed going through a few of them today from you link :rotfl: :rotfl: Certainly took my mind of things, so thanks hun :A

dizzyditzy - we paid for private cremation when that dog killed our Billy but didn't know what to do with his ashes afterwards. We got the card box rather than a casket, and when my Dad died the following year, and we put birthday cards in with his ashes at the family plot, I sealed Billy's ashes inside Dad's card and asked him to look after my little boy for me :o

calmspirit - sorry to hear that you have been in such a dark place recently but glad to see you posting hun - keep strong, you will get there in the end :A

Purdita - I am with you on this one, if people don't like the content of this thread, they can always go elsewhere instead of causing problems on here and upsetting our little community. There is a perfectly good thread on Grabbit containly just Tesco glitches, etc with no chat if that is what they prefer ;)

nikkilala - glad to hear that you are now in communication with Forum Team and feel more positive about HC's chances of getting back on our thread, where he belongs :j

I think that's all my notes, but if I missed anything, please accept my apologies :o

We've had an odd day today, getting used to having just the two dogs in the house, rather than 3. It still seems so quiet, and warm too with not having to have the back door open most of the day for Bonnie :(

I think thats very true. There's very little genuine hostility on this thread....a bit of banter which gets misunderstoood now and again, but that's the trouble with the written word, there's no eye contact or body language to aid with the tone.

I think we do pretty good on the whole though. I'm sure some of us would hate each other in real life but in cyberspace we seem to muddle along pretty well.

    :)

Although it would never happen I sometimes wonder how we'd all get along if we were all gathered together i.e. naked of our cyber identities and perceived images. I have a picture in my mind of most regular posters but I would guess I'm way off the mark with most:rotfl::rotfl:

Morning (now!) all, had to get up at 7am to get ready for an 8-6 delivery of my new freezer, only managed 4 hours sleep, freezer came at 11am so I went whoopsie-ing then went to bed at 6pm, completely shattered! Chillers absolutely useless as usual, I wish my local would whoopsie properly for once!! They're not even whoopsie-ing the veg properly anymore!

I've noticed the finest cookies which were £1 down from £1.45 are now back up to normal price but at £1.50, gotta love Tescos!

All the xmas stuff is still clogging up the gift and seasonal aisles, no further reductions. Half price on Persil has also finished, with no decent laundry offers in its place that I could see! I guess I'll steer clear of the place for a while, there's nothing doing in there at all at the moment!!

Scu£&horpe are on the ball...ish. Few trouts around. Linc0ln, Grims8y, Cl33thorpes are all a bit of a drive away so that only leaves br1gg, Bart0n, Gainsb0r0ugh and s!!!!h0rpe express which are also slim on bargains....unless you know something a little inexperienced meerkat doesn't :p

It's not my fault sc0nthorpe is spelt with a rude word integrated ;)
    Baby meerkat...born 9.10am 31/1/12 - now a fully fledged monster meerkat.
New Baby meerkat due 09/09/2013 :)

With all of the discussion tonight I'd forgotten to think about Tesco visits! Went this afternoon for a few bits &pieces of normal shopping. Very few things to look for. Most of the old style Pantene has moved on &stuff left is scanning at normal price. Binoculars that were SEL 9.90 but scanned at 89p now have a SEL 89p but no stock. Sleeve Ironing boards that I mentioned a few weeks ago scanning at 14p now have a SEL of 14p(originally £6.50). Stock replenished in my extra after going out of stock and they are a must for all who love ironing and want that classy no crease look for shirt/blouse sleeves:rotfl:

Christmas stuff is still there with some stuff now reduced further but, bizzarly, some stuff has gone back up in price:eek: Must be a reason for this? Shortly about to go down to massive clearance? accountancy/book-keeping dodge?

Give me a break ;) I must admit that I've been lucky enough to go through my life without encountering anyone with the poncey name of Rupert .

Please don't say that, I am good friends with a family who lost their youngest son in 2009 aged 23 and that was his name, don't tar all with the same brush because you've met one person you didn't like with a certain name, a name doesn't mean anything.

I like my name. If you could choise your own, what would it be?

I love the short version of my name (not saying it on here though for obvious reasons) but HATE the long version, I worked out my mum called all of us 4 kids 3 syllable names for maximum impact when angrily shouting  so now when I hear my full name I think someone's angry with me! :rotfl:

I think my name suits me though, so I can't imagine what else I'd be called...........

I think that would be essential! Remember there could be youngsters who could be easily disturbed;)
