No idea what a bridge camera is sorry :o He is happy keeping his d40 just new lenses.
He is watching these in his ebay:
Nikon Nikkor AF D 50 mm F/1.8 Lens
    Nikkor 18-135mm DX AF-S F3.3-5.6
But I have no idea what it is he is looking for or why, I just let him get on with it as long as he goes through quidco haha.

Ah I see now. His D40 is a nice camera anyway and technically better than a bridge camera......which by the way is a bridge between a point and shoot camera and a proper camera like a D40.

I like the idea of being able to put a camera in a pouch on my belt to go walkign or cycling but still be able to get good shots. A bridge camera ticks all those boxes. I had for some reason thought you was looking for a camera to fit a bunch of old lenses. Sorry for being presumptuous.

Re. lenses, the 18-200 VR lens is a bagful all in one lens and top notch. 500 quid but you can throw all the other lenses on ebay and never take this off the camera. :)

Do I get another star at 200?

You should be so lucky!!! next one i think is 750.....looks like you have a little more 'waffling' to do yet! :D

Edit.......didn't realise you meant TWO stars. Where's your salute soldier when an officer walks in the room? ;)

Ordinarily waffling wouldn't be a problem...but you lot talk far more than I ever could...plus north Lincs rarely have glitches for me to boast about :(

Completely OT but I did something really stupid yesterday.
I wasn't feeling great so decided to have a long soak in the bath and instead of taking a book I took my laptop and watched the new Midwife programme that started on Sunday.
No problem there I hear you all say....but I'd taken an exension lead and plugged my lappie into it before balancing it on the taps :eek:

Didn't even cross my mind how dangerous this was until my OH asked me why the extension lead was on the landing.
He couldn't believe I didn't realise I would have been electrocuted if it had fallen in!
Won't be doing that again in a hurry......I'll stand it on the loo seat from now on :rotfl:

I think thats very true. There's very little genuine hostility on this thread....a bit of banter which gets misunderstoood now and again, but that's the trouble with the written word, there's no eye contact or body language to aid with the tone.

I think we do pretty good on the whole though. I'm sure some of us would hate each other in real life but in cyberspace we seem to muddle along pretty well.

    :)
