Just had an update from OH reference FIL, now saying its either a stroke or a bad head injury!! wish they would make up their bloody minds. Waiting for a Neuro (wotsit) bloke/woman to come and see him, normal doctor has checked his brain scan and said something not right but doesn't want to say what exactly until he's been seen by the big man!! OH is in bits wants to take his dad home, already talking about moving his bed into the front room and chucking out one of the sofas, i have tried to tell him this won't work as apart from no room, because he can't stand or even use a zimmer frame because his arm isn't working properly we won't be doing him any favours and he really needs to get professional help. Another phone call whilst typing this and they are now saying he might have to be transferred to Frenchhay hospital in Bristol which has the brain surgery specialists. OH breaking his heart as his mum died from a brain injury and was also treated in Bristol this was when he was 15 yrs old, really wish i could be at home but luckily only a couple more days to go and i will be with him.

Oh dear, I wish it was better news for you all. If he does get transferred to Frenchay, it will be entirely for the right reasons. Re the docs and scans- i know its scary but it is procedure for them to get everything checked with a consultant before passing news on, in case of incorrect info being given out. Sadly, consultants arent always available when you need them to be, as they are often in theatre or clinic, but they will see it. Dont let your OH take him home until he has at least been seen by the therapists- he will need assessment as to how he will manage when he does go home, and for that reason, i think its important that your OH is present, given the confusion that your FIL has already presented with.

If I can help in anyway, please feel free to PM me. I dont work in neuro but do know people who do xx

Oh Bensonsmum I am so sorry to hear about your FIL, atleast though they are taking it seriously and not just brushing it off and sending him home *hugs* to you and your OH.

You know I think I am cursed, second accident today and neither would have happened had I not been bargain/glitch hunting:

On Sunday, my husband and I went through different tills at Asda with the Comfort vouchers. The SA let my husband use his but a different SA wouldn't let me use mine.

The Comfort at Asda was £1 for 21 washes but I noticed today that it has increased to £1.80p. The 13 washes at Tesco is £1 so that works out cheaper at the moment.

Been looking at the recipes on here and thought I'd try the hob nob biscuits. Just found some scottish oats in the cupboard with a bbe 07/10, do you think they would be ok to use ? the box is unopened.

Got a wombled receipt from Mr T's that has been paid using a cc, can I price check it ?

    Thanks in advance

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you :T:T:T I use loads of chapstick as my lips suffer terribly in the winter.

Feels nice to be the first to share something good yay...I saw it 20 minutes after it was posted on there, these things don't last long do they? Was rushing to order mine then post straight away on here!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Have finally caught up now....Mr T bargains few and far between at the moment it seems?:(

Just walked to the Co-Op - OMG I nearly walked out without buying a thing. The prices! Unbelievable, I nearly cried. Finally decided on a chicken and sweetcorn sandwich for £1 and a value swiss roll for 29p. Nothing remotely whoopsie like at all, I almost bought a fresh white roll as I love fresh bread but it was 37p and I got a loaf of Kingsmill last week in T's with 2 days date on it for 25p, it's still ok now. Put bread roll back on shelf. lol!
:) Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be :)

    And get lots of glitches!
