SpiralingDown it really does sound horrid for you and sounds like the time has come where you need your own place....especially if grandfather is hitting grandson......and on his birthday too, poor lamb!
Is there nowhere you can go to see where you stand. What about CAB?
Hope things improve for you both healthwise (stress can't be helping there) and in your personal life ....if anyone deserves some good luck it's you.My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Thinking of you SD *hugs* xxx
Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -
:eek::eek::eek::eek: You don't recycle?
Very little here goes into landfill.......and once you start recycling it becomes second nature.
Don't your council provide you with recycle bins?
We have a grey one for landfill which is collected every fortnight
A Brown bin for compost stuff ie grass cuttings, leaves, weeds, kitchen waste
Then we have clear sacks for plastics and metal
And Blue sacks for all paper and cardboard
I take all our glass bottles to Morrisons or Sainburys bottle bank along with drinks cartons and any old clothes, bedding etc.
This is another sore point with DS and my parents. In my house we sorted through everything, if it had a bit that could be recycled that got ripped off and put in our box or bags so when our bin was collected (fourtnightly) it was only ever half full at the most. My mum has 2 bins and while we were able to do this for the 3 of us my mum's bins would be overflowing for the same 2 weeks.
Even now DS gets looked at when he's ripping a piece of plastic or tape off a box that can then be recycled or squashing a plastic bottle to put in the kirbby box.
I believe we should do what we can to reuse/recycle as much as we can. I will be sorting a lot of stuff out tomorrow for the charity shop and recycling centre but trying to tell my parents it takes a wee while is a nightmare they think if I start it tomorrow morning I'll be finished by bedtime and they'll have lots of space! They were in shock when I told them it usually takes me just over a week to do a whole house:eek:SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Took DS out yesterday for our meal but car was broken so had to take my mum with us so she could drive us as I can't stand going anywere by bus, like trains though
My mum decided that the only thing on the menu she liked was a kids meal but they don't do adult portions of those so she huffed a bit even when I said I'd order DS meal off the adult one and get her a kids one and extra of what she wanted. She went for that in the end and DS happy although found out quickly why I only order off the kids one for him because he was stuffed and couldn't get a dessert
Today (DS's birthday) we were having a nice wee morning playing with his new toys upstairs. He went down to my dad to see if he wanted to come up to see what he'd got and not sure what happened but my dad told him to eff off and went to smack him!!!! So DS in foul form, me the same and my bro and I having serious words with my dad about his choice of words and what would happen if he did hit my DS.
I am getting to the stage where I need to be out of here as it's not good for either of us to be here. The atmosphere is horrendous, we only talk if we must, my bro spends all his time in his room and when my dad gets in from work both myself and my DS end up in his room just so there's no chance of anyone saying anything.
The thing that anoys DS most is the fact that even when I ask what to make for tea no one will give an answer. I can ask at anytime and the answer will always be 'whatever your making' but when its put on the table in correct portion sizes with choice of vegetables we get complaints because there's not enough yet constantly they go on about my weight and DS's but try to explain that all that is due to the crap they want to eat and buy and offer DS it goes in one ear and out the other but makes me so mad because I try my best.
As I'm at home during the day so don't mind cooking, I've always done that but hate when most of the food is thrown out so have decided that as of now I'll feed just DS and myself, the others can eat the rubbish that they always have or our leftovers (if there is any, I only cook what we'll eat)
Sorry for going on but it's at times like this I wish my DH was still with us because he would have told them where to go (probably yelled at my dad and we'd not see them for a while) and also we'd be together with no one to ruin our son's birthday. It's just so hard doing things without him
Oh darling you poor thing, I just want to give you a huge hug! It must be so difficult for you. I really hope you can get a place of your own soon.0 -

Night night x
Trying to watch him at the minute but keep zoning in and out. It's not holding me the way it did years ago. Remember the sketch about the insurance claims?
