I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!
  • Hi all, been away for the weekend so haven't been following you. I noticed Shredded Wheat in a Tesco Express was half price at 84p today which I thought was quite good. Sorry if it has already been mentioned or if it isn't really a bargain!:)

I love him too!!! I can completely see how he'd be annoying though if you didn't like him

I hate baths - can't get used to the concept of sitting in all the dirt etc that has just been washed off . Seems odd to me - showers all the way I say ;)

I have NEVER been able to relax in a bath, I just can't, no idea why - for me a shower is 100 times more relaxing!

My Dad did exactly the same. Fell to the bottom of the stairs and couldn't move for hours. Our dog pushed it's waterbowl from the kitchen so he could get a drink. :T

Awwww what a brilliant dog!! :T:T:T Hope your dad is ok now?

EDIT: Sorry just read that they're both in heaven now, nice that they're still together x

I planted them early last summer, they are always better after a frost. When I prepared them there were no woody bits in the core.I roasted them in olive oil and my god they tasted lovely.I cooked the leeks in butter and olive oil too.If you have vegetables that fresh you can really taste the difference :D
We still have more to harvest :)

I like roast parsnips but the rest of the family don't.
I have a recipe though, that they all love.

Grate the parsnips.....I use 1 -2 per person depending on the size.
Microwave them with a little butter and tiny amount of water (just a sprinkle) in a bowl for 2 - 3 mins depending on how many you've used
Put them in an ovenproof dish with either a little cheese sauce (if you're doing cauliflower cheese) or I prefer a couple of spoonfulls of double cream.
Top with grated cheese and bung in the oven for about 15 minutes

    Absolutely delicious!!
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Also has anyone been to a grand opening of a Tesco Extra store? I know customers get champagne and cake. Don't think I could face that at 8am, but do they do anything else worth making a special effort for (and I don't mean like seeing the local MP or Mayor!)

Was wondering the same about Sainsbob as new one opening round the corner soon. Don't generally do mornings but if there is a chance of freebies I'll make the effort.

Evening nutters, I mean 11+er's gosh how could I get those two mixed up ;)

Found something today not a grabbit but to do with tesco:
    http://www.tesco.com/blinkbox/
Basically you buy a dvd and you can download it onto your pc.
I don't think they have many dvd's linked yet but I dunno if this will be helpful for anyone at any point in the future. I have a Mr poppers penguins on there and have shared with my BIL at uni so he can watch as you can download the film on upto 5 pc's. Sorry if no use to anyone.

Hoping there is no glitches tomorrow until dinner time as I am on a course to help me learn more about autism and how to manage my DS. Runs until March time I think so all monday glitches are banned until then ;)

Bensons mum I do hope your FIL will be ok *hugs*

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)
