    :shhh: MSE Confession Time

Crack of dawn on bin day we go out & run our beady eyes over our neighbourhood rubbish collection point as we put our own rubbish bags out.
I've 'saved' many things from landfill by putting them on Free Cycle. Like washing machines, Dysons, CD players, PS1 games, books, animal hutches, bird cages, Laura Ashley sofas (everyone in this town has one or did as we used to be able to buy 'seconds' ones for £30) Wish I knew who 'throws' all this stuff away as it just 'appears'

OH did find some old board games once & listed them on eBay & they resulted in a very tidy profit for him

I must admit I'm the same with skips:o. Always have a look to see what people are throwing away as rubbish, especially when a house is being cleared. I once liberated a very nice dining table and chairs from a skip of new neighbour of my FIL. It was only being thrown away because it had been left by the previous owner and had suffered a minor bit of fading from being in a conservatory. DD was over the moon with it as she was setting up house on a very tight budget. :)
    Awaiting a new sig

Sorry you can't have DTD as the wind was blowing in an easterly direction with the sun at a 45 degree angle causing the church spire to cast a shadow over the till you use so the cashier is obviously not at fault NO DTD *does best trout face*

I was so chuffed. I like cake on sundays but havn't had the energy to bake. Cooked a gammon joint earlier and made pea and ham soup for tea and OH asked what was for dessert. What could I russle up quickly I thought. Of course a no. 2 pudding. No sooner said but done. We love pear and ginger upside down pud/cake but decided to try your microwave pud minus pears this time. Can see this is going to become a firm favourite with all kinds of variations. Do you think lemon curd in the bottom of the bowl will work and mixed peel in the sponge ?

Inspired. That would most definitely work! Mind you don't burn your lips on the hot curd ;)

Hold on, just checking company policy, nuts must only be given if the customer didn't know they were going to be overcharged when they bought the product. I'm sure that customer has been overcharged everyday this week - what a liberty! :p
