I would guess that some flaws would show up part way through the process before the backstamp is applied. To save wasting a perfectly good pot they continue to glaze but use a different backstamp? For seconds detected after the final firing then perhaps that,s where my "squiggily" mark is applied or a line through the backstamp. Probably making this up. I'm sure an expert might come along put us all out of our misery!:rotfl:

We share too, but I get to go first I also like a really hot bath....I can be in there half an hour before I become totally lobster like and then OH will get in as it's just right for him.

My MSE secret is that if I can't fit all the Sainsbury's basic teabags in a caddy, I put the remainder in a Twinings box!!.....and if I'm defrosting anything on the worktop, I remove the yellow stickers in case a friend or neighbour come in :rotfl:
