Mr T's;
3 Tapas meals = £1.50 - £1.50 multibuy = FREE!
2 pints Organic skimmed milk = 22p
650g Special K oats and honey = 80p
Cauliflower = 9p
Mr A's;
What I really needed was milk so I had a quick browse of the dates as none in whoopsie cabinet and my A's seems to often have milk reductions. Found 5 x 4pt semi skimmed filtered milk and 6 x 4pt whole milk with yesterdays sell by date. Asked a lovely young SA 'Excuse me please could you tell me if the milk with today's date on should be reduced?' he replied 'Oh yes it should be 10p, thanks for pointing that out, how many would you like??'I have no room in the freezer so only took 3 semi skimmed but that should last the week as it has a 1 week use by
While I was waiting, a lady with a trolley full of whoopsies picked up 4 pints and I explained that there would be some for 10p in a moment. She saw that I'd picked up some reduced lamb breast for 10p (I've never cooked it but thought I'd give it a bash) She says 'Do you know how to cook that? I'm a professional chef, it's so sad that young people today don't know how to cook.' Now I'm not one for being strictly PC and thought well I suppose that's probably true on the whole but must have looked a little offended/puzzled I'm not sure!! She then said 'Oh it's ok, I've got 4 daughters and they're all blond!!' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Well I just found it hilarious that this batty old woman was basically telling me that young blond people (ie: me) don't know how to cook! I guess others may have taken offence but I walked away having a right old giggle to myself
So in A's I bought
3 x 4pt semi skimmed milk = 30p
1 pack pork sausages = 10p
1 Lamb breast = 10p
So total spend T's and A's = £1.61 :T
Look on my face when I went over on my knees slipping on a grape in T's = PRICELESS!:D:eek: Reckon I've got a no win/no fee claim?! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lol Hubby went for bricks in B&Q last night & a dozen breezeblocks fell on him & his friend because the pallet that was 5' off the ground was broken! Apparently the only forklift driver on duty was the manager but he had gone on his dinner break & wouldnt be back for 1 hour (@7pm?!) So they had to transport 100 bricks by hand! Cant beleive they left without complaining, can you imagine if they'd landed on a child!
What time do you go for your asda whoopsies?0 -

American Horror Story - is it worth watching? I saw most of the first episode but haven't had a chance to keep up with it and my Sky planner is straining from all the kids stuff I daren't delete.0 -
jumblejack wrote: »Wow. I'd love that. Where is Donna Nook?
Its in Lincolnshire, just below Cleethorpes. Its a 5 hour round trip for us but was absolutely worth it. The pups will mostly have gone now but they start coming back around October through to the end of december every year.0 -

Going have to catch zzzzs in a mo. just chilling watching top of the pops '77 on iplayer. Boomtown rats is on at the mo. apparently they used to be called Nightime Thugs. The stuff you learn on tv eh!
Some good stuff on there. Oo, Bowie is in now. Wonders of wonders. He's hardly got any make up on. What a handsome man! Apparently he shared an apartment with Iggy Pop.
Come back top of the pops. I used to live Thursday night Tv. Used to be slotted next to Kennt Everett Show.
I loved the pop up facts that came on the screen
