A special post from my "cyber son";)
"It's taken me hours to catch up and the bickering on the thread resulted in me asking my sis to post something on my behalf. Sorry it was just a brief post as I didn't want the moderators thinking that my sister was typing on my behalf and resulting in her being banned also.
I'd like to thank everyone for the tremendous amount of support shown towards me. I can't believe how much fuss (good and bad) has been created over 'little' old me.:o
A few of you are aware that I have no wish to return as I don't want to be somewhere where I'm not welcome, even the people who don't want me here are lurkers who don't contribute to the thread.
Regarding my email to MSE, people are correct when they assume that I did it out of shock/as a knee jerk reaction. I also did it to make sure I wouldn't be allowed back. However, I'm pretty sure that discussing other members PM's on the open forum is a banning offence. It's nice to know that there is one rule for them and another for us. Also, I could have swore that I put more information in to the email than was put on here by the forum team. If not, then I would like to clarify that I have NOT had any warnings about my language from the forum team. The only contact I have from MSE was from MSE Andrea 2 or 3 months ago when I was posting the jokes. The first email I got from her was informing me that it "wasn't a chat thread and to cut back on the chat". I ignored this message and a couple of weeks later she contacted me again saying pretty much the same thing. I responded to tell her that the title of the thread contained the word 'chat' and that 8 out of 10 people wanted the jokes. I then went on to ask if she had a problem with me? I then web further to say that I would stop the jokes. Andrea never replied to me. One thing has just occurred to me whilst typing this and it could be the reason I meet received ANY of the many warnings I'm supposed to have had. I'm pretty sure that in the 'User CP' there is an option to turn off emails from MSE and Forum Management. I'm pretty sure I may have turn this off due to a bad experience I received on another forum from the mods etc. If the forum team are worth their salt they will investigate this further.
I have always said that if ANYONE had a problem with anything I have posted then to let me know, either on the thread or by PM. That way I could remove the offending material and offer a personal apology. Because of this I was quite disappointed that MMW felt she had to report my jokes rather than come to me about it. I would like to make it clear that I had, and still don't have any animosity towards MMW. As as I said on numerous occasions, everyone is different and was more likely to offend someone as opposed to please everyone. I have a great deal of respect for MMW and I feel people were rather unfair in attacking her. At the end of the day all MMW wanted was for the thread to return to normal so that it wasn't closed and that no one else got banned"
You are true gent.... You have brought out so many lurkers by commenting on how youve been treated..
If you look at this post, it has over 80 thanks, just goes to show how popular you are..
I for one feel that MOD's should have posted on the forum for you to remove the swear words rather than do this to you... like they do if you post codes etc on the forum..
If you do decide to come back, we shall keep you in line by telling you to remove a certain word etc etc, so you dont have to go through this again..
Anyway, we all miss you and want you back..
Im not going to drag this on anymore, but be sure we will always welcome you back with open arms.
Stay strong and keep smiling.
Your a true Gem..
Take care xxxx :A:A:ANot supposed to be on the lappie as had phsyio today for tennis elbow, I've had it 2 years, steroid injections, painkillers the lot but now its strapped up and under phsyios orders no ironing:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: lifting, hoovering etc
I can sympathise with you regarding the tennis elbow, I had it when I painted the outside of the house about 9 years ago, until today I have to be careful what I do. My right arm gets tired a lot quicker than my left since I had it, which is a pain in the backside, because Im right handed. I too had physo and injections, the only thing that worked for me was resting it and making sure I didnt carry anything heavy for a long while.. I do feel for you:(
Can people please stop posting Tesco related messages on here? Thanks!!!!!!!

While back home,as i was hoping for snow and there was none,we made an instant decision to go to the mountains to show our children some snow and got a true mse style short break-3days/2nights stay in a skiing resort with breakfast, skipasses and accomodation for 4 people/we paid 4adults so that kids have proper beds/ for a mere £200 and we loved it. Cheap ski rental as well - lovely lady let us have 3 pairs of skiis for 3 days for about £50. I will post pictures soon0 -

Glad you're making plans to get away and recouperate QPR, I'd LOVE to go back to Florida :j But appologies I have nothing to add to your list or any help to offer. My parents organised the whole thing
I'm even wondering if we have to arrive on a Saturday or Sunday
so we can get the coupon inserts out of the Sunday papers :rotfl:
Warming to the idea as suggested of using Gatwick, getting a non stop flight saves an awful lot of airtime & hassle changing planes.
I'm enjoying planning even if we don't make it, I'll keep you informed of our progress.
I'm sure you'll think of some quirky thing you took with you or bought while you were there.
My friend always took a small hot water bottle in case she was ill. One trip she forgot it, we looked everywhere trying to get one, they didn't know what a hot water bottle was & this was somewhere that had snow.
We eventually got one in the sports section, rolled up on a sort of clipstrip :rotfl:they are known as coldwater bottles & used for sports injuries, we found it because the young assistants mother was from England so they used them the way we do.0
