if you mean they dont scan, mine dont either it makes it embarrassing at checkouts.

Have you selected the option fit to printable area on the print page? the coupons print bigger therefore the barcode becomes scanable hth:beer:

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.
  • He told me a few hours ago he's not coming back zippy :(

  • Anyone used a slowcooker before? Got a Crockpot the other day and i'm going to break it in this weekend (just hope i don't break it) have tried to look for online tips but they are all different. It's stewing steak that i will be cooking, do i put all the veg at the bottom with the meat on top and do i brown the meat first do i cover it all with stock and how long i have read about 8hrs but is that on high or low and how do you thicken at the end? add bisto? HELP

Browning the meat is personal preference. It doesn' really matter though. I even chuck stuff in mine still frozen! :D

I guess you are making some sort of stew or caserole? Just bung the lot in all cubed up with the stock you need. Stir it all up and stick it on high for about 4 hours or low overnight/while at work. Add your bisto or whatever once its cooked to thicken it up to your desired level.

Careful though the things are very addictive once you've used one.

    Night all. :)

Wish I was still in bed ... leaving for work now!:(
I agree with French - throw everything in, turn on and leave. Only difference I have done is mix up the gravy and cook it in that - tastes ok (to me anyway) ... If your crockpot has an auto setting, try that - should go on high for a bit, then switch itself down to low. I've eaten things after it's been in for only about 6 hours on low and tastes great. Try other meat too - anything we've tried has been good ...

Haven't used ours for a few months ... thanks for the reminder!

Hi everyone! Just back from a very successful trip to T's :D

Managed to get some Disney Princess colouring wheels high on a shelf with no SEL - £1.88. Got the Dettol no hand wash after finding a £3 moc in with newborn bounty pack.

The Huggies wipes had buy 2 get 1 free SEL but they did scan through at buy 1 get 2 free.

What made the trip so successfull was that the Cuddle Me snowglobes had SEL of 27p - I picked up 4 of them and was charged £8 each :eek:

Went to CS and could feel myself going a bit red about the face! CS kept saying it must be the wrong product but after checking the barcode confirmed I had been overcharged. She then called for a manager who said that she'd bought one the other day for 27p. CS was figuring out the refund and said to the manager 'So she gets refunded....' the manager then butted in saying '£31!' CS kept pointing at a figure on her till screen and the manager said twice more 'She gets £31 back!' I then piped up 'Isn't it meant to be DTD?' The managers face was a picture!! She stormed off muttering that she would have to speak to the store manager first. Five mins later and she appears back saying that he'd said just to give me the money. £61.92 back:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Well done Sanya! :T:T:T :rotfl:

Just had a look at my receipt and SA has only put through 8 lots of wipes instead of 9 so only 2 lots of £5.18 discount have come off as BOG2F but not for the 3rd lot. So I have been overcharged on this too but how do I prove now that I did infact buy 9? And the SEL in my store said B2G1F?? Sorry if that is confusing!

You don't have to prove it, I had this trouble at sainsbobs, one of their mullerlight 10 for whatever deal, but she only put through 9, went back in the next day, no trouble at all, they just scanned any old mullerlight. Plus isn't saying you bought and paid for 9 the reverse of stealing? You're not asking for a refund after all.....

As for B2G1F, you still need multiples of three for it to work so it doesn't matter, and they've obviously got the SEL wrong, just say it's different online, in other stores, etc. hth :)
First time on since last night, what can I say! Really dont think some people consider how much this forum means to some of us, we may be having a virtual chat but the people at the end of the cyberoptics are real with real feelings. As for the swearing, I hear worse walking round Tescos in the middle of the day.......actually is that coz u lot are there!?lol

If it's anything like my local, it'll be the staff!
