Swimming cossie, bottle of water - the air can really dry your mouth and throat out!

I guess they are providing your kit, are you doing a course? :)

Taking my OH to get his mask tomorrow!

I wear contacts for diving :)

I finished my OW last year using them. I just use daily disposables and if I get pool/salt water in my eyes I replace them as soon as possible.

You won't be forced to do anything with your eyes open, when I had to take my mask off etc the instructor would just tap me on the arm when I had gone the required time.

Water magnifies everything slightly anyway so I can see better underwater than I can on land :rotfl:

Wow that was cool! :j spent first 5 mins trying to get over the psychological issue- the person in my head was screaming 'what the hell do you think you are doing! You can't breathe under water!' :rotfl: but after I got used to it it was soo cool. :) OH loved it too, n is already talking bout getting the equipment. :)

We have HW to do tonight- yay! :T

    I am knackered now though!

Sorry I wasn't about! :) I'm busy frantically getting the house ready for our house party reception (argh!)

Sounds like you had an amazing day. :D Our next pool session is on 8th July - then on the 27th we'll be in the hot red sea blowing bubbles :D Cannot wait!! Getting very excited.

I love being underwater. I find it so peaceful. :) Even just pootling round a pool :) I'm just a regular water baby :)

We've got all our equipment now apart from BCDs and regs... oh and a camera (jealous JTR!!!)

Glad to hear you enjoyed the day, I know its tiring and I also had that initial freak out! I still get my dive tables out and plan dive times although in practice ill never need to!

Went and got other half his mask today, a nice new tusa one! I bought him a cheap one last year and he kept saying he would use that but I was insisting we get one that fits properly and is more comfortable. He finally admitted when we got home that I was right and that the tusa one is miles nicer!

Are you going to get a camera Mrs d? I lent my back up camera to my friends husband as they went to Maldives on honeymoon and didn't have one, I think they got back yesterday and am slightly worried that I havent heard anything, am wondering if it flooded and they are desperately trying to replace it before they tell me!! I did tell them not to worry about it!

Only eight sleep now until we fly out and have read lots of reports that the manta are now around, saw pictures of one within 50m of the island! Will post pics when I got back.

Johanna, have you booked your honeymoon yet?
