I got a letter today from Actimel saying that my receipt was missing/invalid, hence they weren't going to pay up. There was nothing wrong with my receipts, they were all there, the only thing was that one of the packs came up as 'Yoghurt Drinks' not 'Actimel'. That is just not on - it's not like the customer is responsible for the way Tesco's till receipts print up! Not to mention the fact that all the tabs from the packs proving I had bought Actimel were present anyway.
I sent the letter back, complete with receipts and told them they would have to take up the receipt problem with Tesco and they had better pay me or I would be seeing Trading Standards. Has anyone actually been in touch with Trading Standards and what did they say?
Finally got a cheque today! Didn't actually have to go the Trading Standards route, but maybe the threat helped. Hope everyone else has simillar success. Don't give up just because they knock you back the first time!0 -
Have rung them again. Not impressed. Said they'd get back to me.
I think it may be a case of a threatening letter

Go for it Crazyangel, you have nothing to lose. They know that they are legally obliged to pay out if you have followed the rules and kept your side of the agreement. Lets hope they make it quick!0 -
Got my cheque today. Mine had also been refused as I had cut out the credit card details part which also cut out the date of purchase.
I sent the bottom part and the cheque came within a week.0 -

You shouldn't have to send your credit card details. I didn't. I just sent the whole lot back that I had sent the first time and told them they better do it!0 -

I hand-wrote my letter at the foot of the letter they sent me refusing to send my cheque. I just said that I had sent everything they had asked for, had clearly bought the requisite quantity of Actimel as all the tabs were enclosed and said they had better pay up or I was going to the Trading Standards. They paid up quite quickly after that. Oh, and I sent it straight back to the address at the head of their letter, but I can't remember what that was now.0
