Is there a way to sub contract mobile phone contracts?
U guess you could resell the phone on ebay but these 18/24 month contracts are getting a bit ridiculous.

Sub-contracting is explicitly disallowed (see the T&C's). However, you can assign the contract (actually, transfer it) to a willing recipient, however they will have to be credit checked and carry on making the payments, however the minimum term will match that on your account. A number of websites offer a matching service for those wanting out of contracts, as these are often at lower rates than current ones. A Google search will reveal all!

I don't either but if you don't want to pay a shedload (eh for an iPhone) then it's sometimes the only way.

You pay a shedload anyway, but with a contract you pay a pretty big interest on the top. Borrowing on a CC usually comes cheaper.

They dont but you will when the person you sub contract the phone to fails to pay the bill and the phone company comes after you for the money. Seen at least one thread on here in recent months about that happening.

    Hi qwertyjjj,

Buzby is correct with this. You can transfer the ownership of the contract over to someone else. They would need to pass a credit check to do so.

If you want any more help, you can contact me directly via the email address here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject. Please also include a link to your post.
