Sat 7th/Sun 8th Jan: What small DFW things will you do this weekend?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :j
Can't believe the thread isn't started by nearly 10am on a Saturday! This isn't how I remember it?!
Anyway, I know I said I wasn't going to go back to regular posting just yet (for anyone that saw that last night) but I'm thinking maybe I will...
So this is my listy-pops:-
- Checked banking - scary but all in budget
- Breakfast from stores
- Stay in doing household things to stop me taking DD to Deli in town that does her special soya hot chocolates!
- Have HUGE declutter today and unearth a load of ebay stuff
- Get things together for friends clothes and gift swapping party on Monday
- Do a food inventory, freezer and store cupboard.
- Stretch the food in the house out to skip a weeks shop?
- Pre-prep some food for the freezer so DB3 can cook it easily
- Venture into loft to see if mouse/rat poison has been effective thus not calling pest control!
- Shower for me, hot water mostly off aside from timer
- See if I can convince DD to have a shower? She's 4...
- Minimal amount of washing up to preserve hot water
- Clean out rabbit
- Sparkle! :T
Have a lovely day all

Hello Josie - nice to 'see' you back here...:T
Where is everybody then...enjoying a leisurely morning I hope:D
A lovely quiet weekend planned for me - I don't think I'll be leaving the house which is just fine. Shopping is coming to me soon, so no need to go out;)
Ok, here's my list:- check banking - move money about if my payment in from yesterday is showing
- check for any surveys - am desperate to boost my Kindle fund:D
- meal from plan tonight - tacos
- mince out of freezer defrosting
- washing is on quickwash
- washing will go on the airer
- hoover upstairs
- go through all my college work and sort out what's needed, what's not and get my backside in gear;)
- do meter readings and submit online
- organise stuff to list on ebay
- enjoy a quiet evening with some tv, glass of wine and my girlies
I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning ! Thanks for starting us off Josie! And hi to Pixie!
I haven't posted all week - back to school and visitors - just been very busy and nothing much of interest to report. But I'll try to post over the weekends if not the week.
I was up at 5am to drop mum and dad off at the airport (off to Mexico for 2 weeks, lucky b*ggers!) and there was no point going back to bed by the time I got back at 7am so have just carried on - may have a teeny snooze later;)
I have already taken the dogs to the park (have their dog as well as mine now), popped to the village greengrocers and butchers and then to B&M to do the food shopping and an having a sit down before I start the jobs on the list....- Hoover through house again (only did it yesterday, visitors:mad:)
- Change the bed
- Do one load of washing
- Walk dogs again later (both flat out at the moment)
- Spent £20.50 on the weeks shopping including dog treats (quite pleased with that)
- Stick to diet - have lost 5lbs so far:j (target of 10lbs initially, maybe a stone if I still feel like I need the extra few lbs to go)
- Stay in tonight and watch a movie my sister lent me
- Read library book
- Do a bit of preening - looking quite ragged after early start and dogwalking
- Look into changing gas/elec supplier - they've put my bill up again!
- Wait for payday on Friday:o
