Morning everyone - the sky is pinkish here and the trees are still - but there is frost on the cars. Now the work on repairing all the storm damage is starting.

Sorry to hear about your job Tru, that seemed sudden.

Need to jump in the shower as the decorator is dues at 9a.m. for the quote. For some great reason I slept long and sound last night. I've taken to drinking warm/hot milk just before going to bed and it seems to soothe me to sleep - feels like I'm a child again (I wish).

    Usual things today and work.

Good vibes to those who want/need them.

    Morning all,
Many thanks for your incredable support, i've given myself a kick up the deriere and a stern talking too. I'm going to be possitive and just take 1 day at a time.
DH and I will be going to our friend's funeral at 2pm today, must leave by 1.15 as we know the church will be packed as his family have organised a field for extra parking, just hope it's not gonna be boggy. The farmer who owns it is a friend of ours and he will be standing by with his tractor.
OS wise today will be ironing and clean the fridge and cooker. Make meal plans for DH, although I can't have dinners he still needs feeding. I'll make him meals that I don't like so I wont be drooling whilst he eats his dinners. Liver and bacon for him tonight.... Yuk !!

Thinking of you BRAMBLE, hope all goes well.
Hugs to TAPLADY, MEANMARIE, LAMEWOLF and anyone who needs one.
TRU Sorry to hear about you loosing your job, hope another comes along soon.
    FLUTTER, Thanks Hun x

Morning all, first time chatting over the fence so I hope I do it right :)

Kids are all off to school, dog has been walked (thanks to the wife!) so a bit of peace and quiet for some thinking.
Wind has gone which meant peaceful nights sleep so feeling awake for a change today, dinner will have to include eggs - due to the mild weather, the chickens haven't really stopped laying this year and gave us another 7 eggs yesterday!

Sat here with a mug of tea and toast with the mrs, thinking about going out to get some seeds to start off in the house......

Hope everyone has a good day :)
Thanks to advice from people here I am debt free - thank you to you all! Now working on the mortgage!

    morning!

coughing away here! but at least id didn't turn into flu - doesd up on paracetamol yesterday which helped.

House tidy, bedding on line - another load in machine. Grocery shopping later so am in process of making a list whilst decluttering kitchen cupboards.

My sister popped round for a quick coffee and left me 2 nice mags to read:)

Made some veggie lasagne yesterday then didn't fancy it so will either have it for tea today or freeze it.

(((hugs))) to LW, Beth, Marie and all in need x

Tru - glad you've got your head around the job situation - and I like your avatar by the way:D

RR - hope you have a nice visit with your Dad x

    Morning all

Hope weather much calmer for everyone today, thankfully it is here. Took me twice as long to cycle to work yesterday but home in record time :)
Bit of a rant... Ordered some presents and cards from M&S, they have not been delivered and I have had 4 emails from them with conflicting details, when I checked on website it says they should now be delivered by 23 Feb. I have phoned them and the man said he would try and get some of the items delivered by 5 Feb. I pointed out that I ordered these items before Christmas and actually wanted some of them for today. He then told me that anything I had ordered on 3 for 2 would be charged at full price as the offer has ended.. He did say though that even though my goods will come in separate packages I will only pay one delivery charge. If I didnt really want some of the things I would cancel the order. On the bright side I will now have some Christmas cards for family members for this Christmas!
I do realise that in the bigger scheme of things and with what some of you are going through this really is nothing but a minor annoyance so please excuse me letting off steam.

OS wise, beds stripped, WM on, DW on, kids gone to school with some christmas leftover snacks and biscuits in their packed lunches (along with sandwiches and fruit). Tea tonight will be HM quiche made with leftover bacon and veggies from last nights tea. Now off to update my grocery shopping budget page, am aiming for £60 a week, this week only £52 so quite pleased.

    Positive thoughts to all .
    Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

    Morning, all

Beth very best wishes and posi-vibes - I'll say it now, in case I don't get online over the weekend.;) I do hope it goes well; and I agree with others here, you do way too much for others when you're under par yourself. Take care, and stay positive.:o

Bramble what can I say? I wish your dear Grandad a wonderful send-off; and you have a safe journey getting up there, OK?:o

Malefic welcome - nice to see a gentleman amongst our numbers:beer: (btw, Halight and N9eav where are you guys??)

Folks, I'm going to go and re-heat my wheaten bags in the forlorn hope of alleviating this wretched shoulder, and grab a coffee (I need the caffeine); if I'm not around over the weekend, please don't worry - I have an appointment with the audiologist at 09:00 tomorrow morning, and Dilly the Westie arriving for a 10-day stay at 12:30 tomorrow, so I mightn't get time for coming online.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
