Where has the cheapest nappies out of all the events? My wife is expecting our first baby in May & want to be fully prepared! Huggies or Pampers?
has your wife joined asda baby club you get a voucher to print for a free huggies starter pack which has a pack of nappies and wipes and a hat this voucher scanned at £5 in my local asda so i got 2 starter packs for £1 i then went to car took of the vouchers from the boxes £2 of new born and £1 of wipes with each box (also little swimmers voucher) so for another £2 2 more starter packs plus 2 extra free wipes as they are £1 did same again
total spend £5
for 6 packs nappys
10 wipes
6 hats
plus have vouchers from last 2 boxes so can keep going indefinatly if wanted0 -
Sometimes reduce large boxes of nappies if they have loads left - it takes up the seasonal isle so they need to clear the space. But don't rely on this approach as you may be disappointed.
Sainsburys also have an up to half price sale on the baby section as well at the moment.

I have 2 girls and have used pampers, huggies, asda own, tesco own, sainsburys own, boots own, nature nappies and to be honest I found all to be fine - nature nappies did not seem to be as absorbant at night. Try a range of nappies don't stick to the named brands. I just bought whatever was cheapest at the time. Maybe some are better if you have a boy I am not sure. Breastfed babies do liquid poos which can be quite explosive and lead to leaks (!) and whatever brand I used did not prevent the odd up the back and down the leg mess!! sorry if TMI!!0 -

We bought a few boxes of nappies and our son outgrew then pretty quickly. As we always keep receipts, OH took the nappies back to Mr T's and they gave us the money back. So dont be afraid to stock up, just dont open too many packets at once and save the receipt.
HTH
Did the same, also asked friends and family for nappies and wipes, since they gave reciept incase of wrong sizes I was able to change to what suited my son better and correct size (all nappy gifts were newborn size 1). my boys always come up in a rash with pampers so i always give away the vouchers. So keep proof or own brands then its not a problem the shops will take back with out receipt - did this last week with tesco's 4+, had opened the pack but for some reason it leaked so just exchanged for huggies and they where fine.0 -
Can you tell me how long the event is on for?
Thanks0 -
I used to only buy pampers till someone told me to try asda own OMG we havn't looked back since, he leaked a few times with pampers and hasn't with little angels. I don't at all believe in you get what you pay for. It's known some items of food for example are made in same factory just packaged different.
Little angels are used by MANY MORE mums then I ever knew till I tryed them and said we used them, the number that came out and said they did too was very high lol
Just under 100 nappies for £10 can't say no really, they really are worth a tryMummy to Lewis Born Aug 100
