I made chickpea burgers last week, kids gobbled them up

Going part vegetarian (half the week) was easier than I thought...not so sure it will be this easy in the winter though when we're craving stews, shepherds pies and suchlike every day!Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. So this weekend..
- girls to stables, already paid for as part of bulk purchase of lessons last month or even in March
- lovely dinner invite at friends...will take wine but plenty of that in our house
- make cauliflower cheese for lunch with bread
- meal plan next week with Girls Called Jack blog by my side for cheapie and more fish and veggie recipes..then make kidney bean, carrot and cumin burgers and freeze some.
- go down the allotment and do some digging, planting out of salad too under cloches
- go for a run
- chase FIT payments...where are they????
- Tilly Tidies everyday
- pack up ebay parcels in anticipation of sales ending over weekend
- may also change my sig to a single total. Getting fed up of small steps and maybe want to see the big total come down..hmm. Food for thought.
Think that's it. Small steps. Large goals!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Enjoy your chilled out weekend Mrs B.
We are off to finally purchase DD2 a new riding hat and back brace today, she has been waiting for them since last September !
I will check out that blog as well if I remember, I never seem as organised as I would like to be on the food front and really need to start meal planning again, its been too long and then the budgets begin to slip.

Hi Alice and PG
I have been reading her blog off and on..found it via a thread on here. It looks good. We always used to eat mainly veggie before kids but then I found some great organic meat suppliers, had kids, thought that meat was fast and nutritious...and now find myself eating meat most days...not good for environment, purse or health..
Nice readable style and recipes are no brainers. Meticulously priced too. To be honest, many are adapted from things I used to eat as a student, but maybe more lovely fresh herbs. Have just posted on your diary Alice..get that windowsill garden going!!
Pleased DD2 is getting her kit for riding, Mrs PG. We just borrow ours. May have to PM you though re getting jodhpurs for DD2's birthday. Any recommendations? Any second hand ones I can buy??MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hello All!!
Feeling chirpy today.... Not entirely sure why..
- yesterday was great and I even got on a large pony again after 7 years...felt good and will be doing it again, if only to have my kids shriek heels down and swop your crop at me giggling whilst they do!! All paid for last month so feel OK re a NSD yesterday.
- meal planned for next 2 weeks and we are only having meat once during M-F. Looks good and will be much cheaper. Mostly ideas from student days and Girl Called Jack blog.
- sitting here watching the Hobbit (£3.50 rather than cinema trip which would be nearer £20) which is wonderful, sitting here with yes I admit it, the woodburner on...as the wood was paid for last month I also am enjoying it v much...despite the bizarre fact that its May and blooming chilly.
- had baked beans on toast for lunch with some odd bits of cheese on it...scrumptious.
- have made some kidney bean burgers ready for dinner tomorrow
- bought £6 hairdye in bid to make myself s little more presentable and much cheaper than £30 down salon. Not my usual brand or colour so fingers crossed!!
- potted out some plants and protected others from the chooks!
- have run out of filter coffee but holding fire until tomorrow when expecting a delivery. Very impressed that will be receiving a free bottle of champagne with it..thanks Mr O?ado.
Not sure will get out for a run...but will try..
Hope everyone is having a good day
