Having an ace time. Who can't but love Dorset in the sunshine??!
Will do a fuller update this weekend but the headline is that we cracked the 25% ratepartly due to increased drawings from my company but still... deep joy. Sitting here re-reading the book that inspired my diary title and feeling very blessed. Thank you universe

Thanks greent. Luckily OH is a closet veggie. Must be all that working with animals
so not a problem. Will be when we host again though as the students tend to be white hot carnivores. Anyhow. Enjoying it whilst it lasts. About to tuck into moule frites and salad

All sounding good Brizzle. Mr SA's idea of going veggie is pizza, he's a die hard carnivore.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

SA that made me laugh
PF, thanks for dropping by. 5 years yes.. although don't have a long term left now. 8 years. It stands at £149k which is a big milestone. The fact it's now below £150k just seems amazing (I almost physically jumped for joy when the bank told me) when most of our colleagues and friends have yes, huge valuable houses but huge mortgages on them too with long, long terms. Dropping 3 years may not sound much, but it'd be a big result for us as the monthly repayments are huge. I'd actually like to pay it off in 4. But for that we need to carry on paying down the debt at the rate we have been this year and than carry on earning the same so that we can make the big OPs. As you know I fluctuate between paying off and then putting into ISA and pension for the tax benefits. So at the moment I have an 'uneasy' balance between the two but have set up a standing order for the monthly OP from September so watch this space.
The savings rate is good. (Although I am always conscious that we earn good money). In reality it's mainly gone on paying off the CCs built up last year, but it's not been a tough month so I am hopeful we can continue in this vein. I can't use the laptop yet to do a proper analysis but will do later.
Have updated the signature. Similar goals to last month. I almost made it on LSDs and NSDs..which is pretty impressive given my poor track recordon this score...decluttering too. The sales target looks impossible, but I will try and list some items in the next week or so.

Quick update...
TT of £7.89 to make the current account tidy
Paid off CC in full - just day to day spending though so doesn't count in terms of debt so am extremely impatiently waiting a credit so can do the money shuffle early next week
Enjoying a eve away with OH and already have some nice freebies as loyal customers
Had a great holiday and feel psychologically rested. Also started running again which is good
Best go now and get a more glam look on :rotfl: dinner awaits

Morning Brizzle
Just had a quick catch up - all sounding great
I would love to go mostly veggie - DD and I would be in heaven, DH Ok but grumbles a bit, but DS is a total carnivore nad just needs loads of protein - about a cow ( or 12 chickens) a day:rotfl: - he's about twice my size, 16 and still growing so I guess that's normal? I grew up in a family of all girls so am a bit bemused by it all :rotfl:
Loved the bit about DD saying you ask her to do something the minute she sits down.... I've had the same complaint here!
I haven't read Tilly's diary - obviously seems to come highly recommended......
Have a lovely weekend
