I think your doing fab Brizzle... I think for a lot of us its learning to live carefully that will be the key to keeping out of debt. I am a very all or nothing person so not living on pennies but not overspending will be tricky!
What do you think of taboo... I have watched first two episodes and I'm still not sure what to make of it... but I will watch third and see! Enjoying the sunshine today hope its sunny for you too

    Hi jvr

I like it.. but then I like dark historical quirky stuff. I also like having a. Series to watch - otherwise watch no TV at all - and it's a good thing for OH and I to relax which we don't do often enough!

Know what you mean about all or nothing.. I am pretty binary about life in general :rotfl:

Not an AFD yesterday as took OH out for a pint at our local micropub.. well 2 actually. Lots of work stress this week but getting by. Wish it was less cold though. Waiting for trains in the dark and the cold is losing its charm..

Made £16 on sales.. lots didn't sell so OH will do new photos and we will try again

  • I'm totally loving Taboo too! But then it's hard not to love it when you have Tom Hardy to drool over! :rotfl:

I'm also an all or nothing gal! Currently, the "nothing" phase is progressing well but at the flick of a switch I know my personality is such that it'll be back to "all" again.

Sorry to hear of stresses for you at work Brizzle:( That's really rubbish and the one thing that gets me really down too. Hopefully the trip out to the pub lifted your spirits? Sending lots of positive thoughts your way for a calmer end to the week :)

Hi brizzle. You've been on an absolute mission since the New Year. Good that you are buzzing on all fronts. Well done!

I read an article in The Times yesterday about the new celebrity frugal chef - Miguel Barclay and his £1 meals. . There was also an interesting accompanying article on other scrimpy bloggers which included the Frugalwoods.

Echoing everyone on "Taboo". I love the weird dark historical stuff as well. Was bereft when "Penny Dreadful" finished!

Hello all,, thanks for dropping by. Very very glad that a tough week is over, have some stuff to do tomorrow...but some of that is on my second income stream which is something I need to nurture.

Planning to Skype dear friends in NZ this eve...can't wait. They are 13  hours ahead at the moment so getting a time we could all do (she has littlies) has been a challenge.

Yesterday was not a AFD (definitely not :(:( this morning :o) but Thursday and today will be. Bought groceries today but that's it. Will be very interested to do that final savings rate to see how we have done. Unsold items relisted on the Bay with better photos..will see if they shift.

Thanks SSG and all for supporting my efforts. Won't reach my targets, but am pumped up for continuing in this vein into Feb...

Woodburner on and roast chicken and coucous/roasted veg mix in our bellies....life is good:)

Hope you enjoy your Skype chat with your friends tonight brizzle. Technology is wonderful though isn't it. Not that long ago you would be keeping in touch with overseas/family friends via letters and expensive phone calls.

    Woodburner sounds lovely........:)
