I would do it too if the boot was on the other foot and your company could earn money from you would they 99% of companies would so go for it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

I can see quidco being listed as a job benefit in the future on job adverts.
Excellent pension package... free medical cover.... Unlimited quidco use on corporate purchases*
* We don't actually know what quidco is but some guy told us. Feel free to use the quidco discount as much as you like but don't tell us. We have no way in finding out as nobody you can phone at the retailers have any idea [like us] what quidco is.0 -
I'm in the same situation - but what airlines are on quidco ( if any )0

Just do it, you aren't taking anything from the company. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I'd be wary of it. Fair enough you may be getting the best price and getting a bit of bonus from it, but if they find out will they believe that you really went with the cheapest for them, even if you did. Technically, I don't think there's anything wrong with it they're getting a good price and it's not costing them any extra to go through quidco. But I doubt many companies would be so understanding if you were found out, I suppose they could say they wanted the money back or to open them a quidco account for them to be able to claim the money themselves. Could you end up being fired?
How about telling them about quidco and suggesting that you open them an account and use it for xmas drinks or something?0 -
Virgin are on Quidco - 1% so I got £2.50 for a £250 flight.
Your not going to make a million so a little bit here and there will keep you happy in your work and brighten up your day. I say do it.0 -
If you work for the public sector and do that it would constitute fraud as you have to declare it.
I could foresee it causing problems if co-workers found out that you were doing it and you had not told them too.0 -
i dont see it as unethical.
the site is there for cashback on purchases, even if not your own. either you get the cash back or no one does. might as well take advantage0 -
that's not strictly trueyeslek wrote:even if not your own.
"The Quidco cooperative concept also means that it is not every member for themselves. The actions of an individual can affect the entire group and in some cases spoil things for everyone. Being a part of Quidco is understanding that you are a part of the whole and you have responsibility towards all the other members. Please do not abuse the merchant programs or attempt to create fraudulent or deceitful transactions. Quidco accounts should only be used on a one person to one account basis."
if purchasing for other people then it is not within the Quidco rules and could mean the withdrawal of the individual's account or merchants withdrawing from the programme.0 -

So.... buying a CD off cdwow for a friend is not allowed on quidco
This paragraph is targetting the tools that sign every man and their dog up for insurance/medical policies, taking the cash and cancelling the policies. Potentially ££££ cashback and £5 for quidco. This does damage between companies like quidco and the retailer concerned, which affects us.
It is also asking members not to purchase for other people so they can get an extra £5 per person. Which is fair enough they need the trade after all.
But for purchasing on behalf of your business, which is theoritically for you, as you are managing the budget ... surely doesnt count. It's not like quidco miss out on an extra £5 ... unless you ask the company to set up an account
In my opinion purchasing on behalf of the company on quidco is helping the community. The more transactions, the higher the discount awarded to companies like quidco by the retailer which is passed on to all members.0
