I make this about once a week - its delicious, cheap and everyone loves it.
the version I make is closer to this: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/7573/spicy-tomato-baked-eggs
Though I use fresh toms as they are cheaper where I live. It always turns out perfect and its good enough to serve to guests.Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

This looks/sounds amazing! Have bookmarked the recipe to use at some point, can't wait to try itOther half loves eggs but isn't overly keen on tomatoes, so I'm hoping the range of flavours in this keeps his interest lol. Thnanks for sharing

Right, New Year, new start. Have been off here ages I even needed to re-register as I had forgotten my user name and password!! I find I budget so much better with stricter meal planning, so my week is:
Weds: Pasta & Chilli, from freezer (Ithought it was bolognaise, teach me not to label things!)
Thurs: Pasta with tub of sauce from fridge.
Fri: Omlettes, bread & butter
Sat: Chicken fajitas
Lunches for me usually salad bits, carrots, cue & toms with lots of fruit and some cheese and DH may have soup or leftovers.
DD's will have school dinners and then should have a small portion of the main dinner (usually want loads though!)
Puddings during week are fruit and/or yoghurts but we still have lots of choccies and nice biscuits left from Christmas so are trying to use those up as puds.0 -
Slight edit to this week's menuMaggie_Bob wrote: »Your menus are all so inspiring - this is my first week meal-planning properly - here goes!
Monday
Lunch: yesterday's leftover chicken in a sandwich with salad
Dinner: Jacket potatoes with cheese and salad
Tuesday
Lunch: Cheese & Ham sandwiches
Dinner: Sausages, Yorkshires (from frozen), steamed carrots & cabbage
Wednesday
Lunch: Leftover sausages (and some leftover applesauce hopefully) in sandwiches
Dinner: [STRIKE]Cheesey veg pie (to use up all of the almost dead vegetables in our fridge[/STRIKE] Chinese Takeaway
Thursday
Lunch: [STRIKE]Cold leftover pie[/STRIKE] Leftover Chinese Takeaway
Dinner: Glazed chicken breasts w/ rice & steamed veg
Friday
Lunch: Leftover chicken in sandwiches
Dinner: Homemade pizza, or bits & pieces if we do the shopping this day
Weekends a bit trickier as we are sometimes out. We'll possibly have jacket potatoes again on Saturday and something on Sunday that'll leave leftovers for Monday's sandwich
Yup - couldn't be bothered to cook last night, so had a cheeky takeaway - and it was totaly worth it (if not strictly OS, or MSE)In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!0 -

Make it spicey and add the sugar a bit early (before putting in the toms, so the onions carmelise a bit) for some varietysoooo tasty!

Wow, you all seem super organized.
This is my first meal plan for 2012, the days may vary depending on work.
Saturday - HM lasagne (hoping to make extra to freeze but everyone loves it so not often any left).
Sunday - HM chicken & veg pie (veg from garden) with new potatoes
Monday - something HM from freezer, probably chilli or chicken risotto
Tuesday - Nasi Goreng
Wednesday - HM beef stroganoff and rice
Thursday - HM cottage pie with carrots and brocolli (from garden)
Friday - HM pasta with tomato based sauce
Breakfast will be toast / cereal and lunches are usually sandwiches. Although it's the summer holidays here in NZ so the boys tend to have noodles or beans on toast for lunch. :cool:Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All
