Mini plan for me for the next four days.
Today- lo couscous, coleslaw, orange salad
Tomorrow- vegetable noodle soup
Wednesday- consomm!
Thursday- veg stiffly or pad Thai.
Porridge everyday for brunch, and an apple two days, and passion fruits the other days.
Not my most inspired week I know, and not even a dip into the freezer which I'm trying to run down, but quick and simple, and have everything needed for all week here already. I'll fish some meat out of the freezer on Thursday for Friday night.0 -
Your menus are all so inspiring - this is my first week meal-planning properly - here goes!
Monday
Lunch: yesterday's leftover chicken in a sandwich with salad
Dinner: Jacket potatoes with cheese and salad
Tuesday
Lunch: Cheese & Ham sandwiches
Dinner: Sausages, Yorkshires (from frozen), steamed carrots & cabbage
Wednesday
Lunch: Leftover sausages (and some leftover applesauce hopefully) in sandwiches
Dinner: Cheesey veg pie (to use up all of the almost dead vegetables in our fridge
Thursday
Lunch: Cold leftover pie
Dinner: Glazed chicken breasts w/ rice & steamed veg
Friday
Lunch: Leftover chicken in sandwiches
Dinner: Homemade pizza, or bits & pieces if we do the shopping this day
Weekends a bit trickier as we are sometimes out. We'll possibly have jacket potatoes again on Saturday and something on Sunday that'll leave leftovers for Monday's sandwichIn a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!0 -

Good luck with the new arrival JG.
GOT to get back into meal planning properly, having been planning most of my meals, but not posting on here - I really find that it focuses me if I post here!
So, small plan for this week:
Sat: HM Cottage Pie & Broccoli
Sun: Eat at DH's parents
Mon: HM Fish & Prawn Tagine with Roasted Veg and Cous Cous
Tues: Turkey Stroganoff with broccoli and mushrooms
Wed: Chicken Traybake - aimed at using up all the bits and pieces of veg and herbs floating around the fridge and some chicken pieces I have in the freezer.
Thats all for now.
Have a good week all.

I go from thursday to thursday because that's how hubby's shifts work.
starting from last thursday
thursday pizza from scratch for 2 adult's dinners and 1 adult's lunch, child had veggie noodles because the little wierdo hates pizza. I made the bread dough from 1kg flour, so we had enough for a loaf too. that got saved.
friday we had fish and chips as a treat as it was payday, but instead of buying the mushy peas and curry sauce, I made them both myself. I make mushy peas in big batches t freeze. I freeze them as blobs in a bun tin as I'm the only one who east them, and then turn them into a bag so I can remove one blob for with my dinner!! admittedly, the curry sauce was form a pot BUT the whole tub cost about half of what ONE POT of curry sauce costs from the chippy. under £12 for all three of us.
saturday we had home made celery soup with the loaf from thursday. I made loads to freeze it, but everyone had seconds; even the picky five year old!! I've been left with 1 portion to freeze.
sunday roast lamb. I got a whole leg half price just before christmas. I cut it off at the knuckle, and took half of the meat off the long end. the three chunks got frozen. last night we had roast lamb on a bed of sliced potatoes and onions (L'Agneau Pleure) with garlic, home grown rosemary and roasted parsnips and carrots.
monday lamb kebabs made from lamb leg steaks taken off the same joint. they'll be served with home made flatbreads. As bought a big pot of soya yogurt, I'll be making a big batch of flatbreads. some for tonight, some for tomorrow, a couple to freeze or send with hubby for his "lunch" at 1am. he's on night shift this week. salad too.
tuesday tacos, but not as you know them! served in home made flatbreads not taco shells. served with salad.
wednesday... not completely sure yet. probably spaghetti, either veggie using the leftover peppers and mushrooms from last thursday, or bolognese with some mince from the freezer.0 -

Good Luck
Mon Sausages
Tues sausages
Wed sausages
Thurs sausage plait (need a bit of variety)
have a good week0 -
I do my meal plans Sunday to Saturday as I shop on a sunday morning, so this week's is as follows:
Sun 8th - Macaroni cheese
Mon - Carbonara with garlic bread
Tues - Chicken roast dinner with potatoes and vegetables
Weds - Fajitas
Thurs - Cheese and potato pie with baked beans
Fri - Hot baguettes with tuna and onion (with egg or cheese for the other half as he doesn't like tuna)
Sat - Freezer food: fishfingers, fries and onion rings
Not a great week really, could probably have come up with better things to cook from scratch seeing as I'm off work this week, but I'm just using up a lot of what we already have in/using things that can be used twice in the week to make sure they get used rather than wasted. Not back at work until the middle of next week, so hoping to make some much better/healthier meals from scratch those days0 -
