depends really, once it's been sent off it needs to be sent for calculating and scheduling, did your payments stop going into your bank account?0 -
We had an over payment in 2004 to the tune of £3,500.00. We are still paying it to this day. I have rang the wftc helpline a few times and they cannot tell me when this will be fully cleared up.
2004 being paid £89.00 week
2005 dropped to £29.00 a week
2006 still £29.00 a week
2006 - August , had 3rd baby and not working , only husband working. We are now entilted to £94.51 a week.
I was hoping by April of this year we would have paid all the outstanding balance. I think they where taking £60.00 a week from us. ( I was working part -time, husband full time, no childcare fees as mother looked after children ). If I do my calculations then I would say we finish this by April.
Shock to see that when I had my third baby it went up by very little.
Thanks for your help and a very warm welcome:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
don't think it will be cleared for this april going on the figures you've given, just ring up and ask them because they will be able to see how much is left to pay off and when your payments go back to normal0

Why do I not have an award notice? Have been claiming CTC for years, renewed last Aug but didn't receive award notice. This makes things difficult for beneifits and uni. I have phoned numerous times only to be told that the part of the computer that deals with it is down nationally-?**
Everytime I phone I get the same response, followed by "try your local tax office, they might be able to help" Might being the operative word, went in today (3rd attempt) and explained again, they basically said I was lying and that award notices are always given out, and they don't do them. Wouldn't leave and complained so she booked me in for nxt Tues- all they have to do is print confirmation of amout off for me!
You all may think I'm off mi head for having a moan about a scrap of paper when some of you have really bad TC problems, but that scrap of paper is really important, without it uni won't give me any financial help and beneifts people put everything on hold- including my duaghters school dinners. Sorry rant over!;)0 -

it can be the case where an award notice will not be generated for months sometimes years but this is a problem within tax credits that is trying to be resolved.
if you go to your local tax office they will not be able to do anything for you so i would scrap that idea but you can write to tax credit office in preston and request a manual award notice stating that you have not received one or phone the helpline stating you need one, if they refuse say you would like to complain to a team leader0 -

either speak to tax credit helpline and request a calculation or go to http://www.entitledto.co.uk/0 -
jamiebraund- hi could you answer my question about how contributions based JSA affects CTC/WTC as opposed to income based?
Thanks0
