I have found that the best frozen veg is,believe it or not,either the cheap supermarket basics veg or,my favorite,Lidls!Frozen mushrooms & brocolli are a waste of time,they turn to mush too easily,Frozen spinach is a good standby to add to a Indian curry to make it go further as is cauliflower.0

i have used the sliced peppers before too, in lasagne etc thats pretty good as fresh are very expensive to me!£18 for my old mobile.

Peas, sweetcorn (I HATE the tinned kind), broadbeans (I love the skins - I know, I know, weirdo), runner and french beans (but ours are from our allotment), peppers are OK and of course oven chips but I count them as carbs not veg. Herbs are great. Buy cheap RTC bunches and freeze at home.Put the kettle on.0

I live on my own, and can't get to the shops regularly enough to get the small amounts of fresh veg' I need. Therefore, frozen veg' keeps almost indefinately and I always have some to hand. I get ASDA frozen broccoli, cauliflower and baby carrot mix plus frozen garden peas. I get the peas separately, as there are times when you just need them. I'm surprised to read the comments about frozen broccoli and carrots going to mush - I've never had this.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

We just buy supermarket own brand mixed veg and haven't had issues with them being mushy or overly "stalky". If you cook for slightly less than the recommended cooking time, they stay a bit firmer.
Frozen peppers don't compare to the fresh stuff, they don't have that crispness to them in stirfries or fajitas, but they still taste nice, and we don't get through a 3-pack of fresh peppers quickly enough so it goes to waste (our little Tesco doesn't sell them in singles)
We use a lot of frozen chopped onion too, saves the eye-watering part of chopping fresh onion!0 -
Farmfoods get my vote. I get their frozen broccoli, sliced leeks, carrots, peas, sweetcorn. They are £1 a bag.
Edit- oh, and i also get frozen diced onion, but i get this from either tesco or morrisons.0 -

We are very fortunate to have an allotment so we don't buy alot of frozen veg, only peas and sweetcorn, I see a few people said they don't rate frozen sweetcorn, but we've never had a problem. In Tesco recently when we bought sweetcorn there was three different types:- Value, Tesco's and another one, can't remember whether it was Birds Eye or similar or Tesco's Finest. Anyway, it might be worth trying the more expensive one. I assume the more expensive one is picked and packed first.
When we did buy frozen veg, I do remember that Sainsburys did a floret mix which was brocoli and cauliflower this was nice and we wouldn't have continued to buy it if it had be lots of stalks either. Also we bought what I think was then called a stew mix, iirc root veg was in this one, I expect its similar to the Farmhouse mix mentioned above.
I do remember that I also used to buy the fresh stew packs and chop these up and freeze myself.

I find the value peas and sweet corn are best just brought to the boil and then drained, all other frozen veg gets steamed to avoid overcooking. I don't mind there being lots of stalks on cauli and broccoli as its still tasty and less likely to go mushy.
We love the mini corn cobs (defrost them, chop into three slices and oven bake with a knob of butter and plenty of chilli flakes and a good pinch of salt) or just boiled.....also the baby sweet corn is nice in a curry, stir fry etc.

Peas, peas, peas. We don't bother eating sweetcorn as it just passes on through...
My suggestion is spinach - freezes very well and is a lot easier to use from frozen. I got into this when I lived in Denmark where some Danish friends didn't even know what fresh spinach looked like as they're so used to eating frozen. When they do have fresh spinach they call it...'English spinach'!!
Sometimes green beans can be excellent as well as already suggested.
I'll have to give broad beans a go following all these recommendations.

We use frozen sliced peppers and diced onions.
We never seem to use the rest of the fresh versions fast enough.0
