after being cold called earlier today my husband arranged a call back for homefix247 to offer me a free quote on home emergency cover... a croaky sounding man "ste" offered me full 5star cover for £15/monthly and asked for my bank details to send out the paperwork.
    haha i wasnt born yesterday.
he continued to be pushy, but to give him his due, he's only doing his job and seemed very confident in the service he was selling. poor boy slipped up when i told him i was with santander, to which he replied, well your bank sort code will start 09-01...
    again, i wasnt born yesterday.
i asked for the website and explained if i want the service, i'll call him.

well now ive done my research
    homefix247.net
    homefix247.co.uk
    homefix satellite care
    mainframeuk.com
    mainframegroup.net

All the same company, ran by the same con-men. One company fails and a new one opens the next week.
there's even a plumbing forum where tradesmen have been contacted to "sign up" for £150 to be added to their tradesman database.
its not an insurance company, its a money making scheme, here today, gone tomorrow.
  • Hi All
Ive just been called by this company, offering to put me on their database and pass work my way. I asked for their website and decided to google them, Im glad I did now. They wanted £150 for 12 months and said they dont care what I charge and that they invoice and then pay me within a week?????
Why would an Insurance company be charging customers again?
Why would they not be bothered what contractors charge? Unless they don't intend paying.. That was all I really needed to hear, my verdict AVOID!!!!

Ive just had the same call if you ask for any details they cant give you anything about currently subcrided numbers in your area or anything it does not sound good for any one . "they dont care what I charge" that's not going to happen, sounds like its a case of you decide what it costs and then they will haggle you down or not pay!
I cant find any good feedback! apart form the posts on here.
