    Morning everyone (just!)

Back at work today and trying to teach lethargic teenagers, they really don't want to be here! Feeling pretty lethargic myself, it always takes till the second week to get back up to full speed.

The weather was terrible at home yesterday, wind, rain, hail and a tree blew down in our street. It was a really big tree but it managed to fall between a car and a fence and miss both of them. fortunately no-one was near it but I had walked past it about half an hour before it went.

Did a lot of cooking yesterday to get ready for the rest of the week so tonight is either chilli or biryani depending on what everyone wants.

Lou, your DS needs you, please banish those thoughts.

JG, I am so excited for you.

Hugs to all in need especially Beth, Molly and LW.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

LW (((hugs))) what's up? Do you need a furry Ozzie input?

How's your weather? We have a tree about to come down and take out a shed, fence and next door. Unsurprisingly all the tree surgeons seem to be busy. Grrrr.

  • Afternoon All
Have had a lie in and a lazy morning, the pain killers make me so tired :o. So this afternoon I am going to force myself to do a few jobs around the house. Washing machine is on as usual and I have to clean the downstairs loo.

JG I went and dug the garden over when I was two and a half weeks late with DD. I had her the next morning:D

cat_smith one of our nephews is a tree surgeon but he is based in Surrey and he too is very busy this week. They have to do the really dangerous ones first, such as those involving roads, railways, schools and houses at risk of a tree hitting them.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Afternoon all.

I am SO mad at my dog, he keeps waking me to go for a wee at 4am, which means i am to tired to get up at 6am to take him for walk ( as is he!) I should just stay up from 4am, but then i run the risk of being exhuasted later! Will see what tonight brings... He can get stuffed if he thinks im walking him tonight, I've got too much to prepare for gonig to scotland.

So, dinner tonight is sausages, jackets and beans, will bung the jackets in when i get in from work, then i realy need to decide on clothes to take with me this weekend and start packing.

And make a shopping list for tomorrow eve.

FB - have you got a new flat ?

Yep. Well I've got a house actually. A nice little 2 bed new-ish build house, with a patio and garden :D and room to park my minibus too :rotfl:. I move Jan 14th.

    Evening all,

Just sat down for 5 mins before our visitors arrive. Have made a lasagne but didn't look enough when it was done so have done roast potatoes and peas to go with it.
Raspberry and coconut slice made and ready to go in the oven.
Rosy I know what you mean about the men having no work, my DS2 works for my DH but things are very quiet, luckily DS2 has his own car. With me not working things are very tight:( so the car will have to go, will have to pay off some finance but there should be a fair bit left over which will come in very handy.
Been trying to get out for a walk all day but it is literally tipping down, planned to go on the wii but never got around to it. Why is it that my exercise is always last on the list.
Have had a bid on mums electric scooter so she will be pleased, better than it being stuck in my loft.
Tomorrow planning on a washing day, whatever the weather. Need to wash some bedding so will have to grit my teeth and put the dryer on.
Off to record any programmes for tonight, its usually 9ish before my brother goes.
Lou don't know what to say to help other than sending a big hug x

Had a nice afternoon,my cousin rang to see if she could call up on her way to a friends house for tea.She brought me a dressmakers dummy that used to be her mums(my auntie who died this time last year):j:jI looked for one a while back on the 'bay of E':D and was shocked at how much they were fetching.I think she would have approved me having it,no-one else really does any sewing in our family-she was very talented, and made all my bridesmaids dresses, and cousins wedding dress.Might rub off on me eh?We had a good catch up anyway.
Still raining hard here ,think Ill have to go out somewhere tomorrow, getting cabin fever.DS2 has been swimming-he gets bored when there is no work.A mate of his has rung- wants a porch fitting ,prob not much money in it for them, but it'll buy a crust :)
    Right,teas ready,best go x

    Evening all

Busy day at work today, but very productive, day off tomorrow though thank goodness.

Came home and made a start on taking the decorations down, just the lights on the front window to do now, will tackle that after having this coffee lol

Used up leftover cheese and bacon wrapped round chicken breast for tea, with LO butternut squash mash and frozen jacket potato for tea, was lovely and quick and easy which left me time to get on decluttering.

Tomorrow will be spent doing a clean from top to bottom after decs are put away as I dont fancy going out anywhere if the weather remains as awful as it is today, the wind had died down earlier but it is really strong again now and lashing the rain against the windows - my dog couldn't be persuaded to go out tonight, just stuck his nose outside the door but turned and went back indoors lol

    Have a good evening all
