Overpayment Received From E2save

Jeez, this thread separates the opportunists from the, erm, overly cautious, doesn't it?
Me? I'd keep schtum and fire in a second claim at month 12. What's the worst that could happen? They tell you that you've already had your full refund and then you can act the daft laddie. They won't pursue it; it's not worth the hassle. And, anyway, for every person they overpay, there'll be many hundreds who don't get their rental refunded, because they forget or don't fully comply with the claim requirements.
Mobile phone companies are run by wideboys who'd take the sugar out of your tea given half the chance, so I wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of their screw-up.0 -
johnhoque wrote:Well some of the cashback deals for e2save were for the 3rd and 6th month and not 6th and 12th months so it could be that and they have given you all the cashback at once. I think you should leave it now and be happy that you have already got all the cashback.
(PS. I have an e2save contract (T610) and bought it in September but I dunno when the 6 months is up as do they need to be a full six months of bills because my first month was only 20 days and not the full amount. Any help anyone?)
This is probably the same deal i had. I sent them my february bill even though my first was for 20 days. Better be quick though they have to receive it within 28 days of you receiving it otherwise you will lose.0 -
Andrew - I would very much doubt this would result in a court case if the OP made the claim in sept. You are just too honest or over cautious. I'd have no problem putting in the claim.0

Had an email today they have credited the whole £180.00 into my bank account. So i have two choices
A) Tell them they have given me too much cashback
Or
Keep quiet and send off for my cashback in september and if they tell me i have had all the cashback i can pretend i forgot or didn't notice. probably will have by then anyway
What shall i do
Hi
Just thought I'd comment as both myself and my sister have had exactly the same thing happen. We were both due £90 on the 6th bill and £90 on the 12th but both recieved £180.
I don't think this is likely to have been a mistake so perhaps they just decided to pay the whole amount in one go.
I am probably going to send in the 12th bill but with a note to explain that I have already recieved the whole amount due.
Its a really good offer in the first place so why take advantage .0 -

Thanks for the heads up. I will send the bill tomorrow, hope it goes through!Life is one long project0 -
If they decide to pay the whole cashback in the 6th month they should tell you not just do it. I'd send the 2nd bill in regardless and see what happens. They might ask for that money back sometime0

Can I just ask for some advice too as a little confused - my conversation with e2save was that I would get £52.50 at month3 and £52.50 at month6 back as half price line rental in the form of cashback and as my contract is with O2, they are giving double mins for 3 months but the confusing part is that after month1 I find that bill1 is for half price line rental from O2 ie. £150

theft will occur if you send in a second claim without telling them you've received £180 already, as you have sought to obtain a 'pecuniary advantage by deception' the deception being the claim that they owe you moneyvBulletin getting better!0

I wouldn't have any sympathy with 2save. There are allegations that are in such a financial mess that they won't now pay cashback/money4me without lots of pressure or legal action. Be warmed...this is beginning to look like another possible FWDcellular. And don't think having CPW as a parent protects you...it doesn't...whole point of being a separate company.
It's a crap company. Try their price guarantee e.g....they won't even match CPW offers!!!!...little bit of smallprint that price match is at 'their discretion'.
whilst on here...whatever is said about 3 at least i got a sensible, honest and helpful e-mail response within a few hours when i asked about coverage. all i ever get from BT is an automated response saying they havn't got enough people to respond and should call them (itself a waste of time) and from o2 just silence on everthing as others here have found.Sarah x0
