    nothing happens when i press those keys. do i need to take out the os disc first as the pc is loading from dvd drive. Ive delited the partition yes and created space which but keep getting that error code, ive run another test and this says error code 2000-0146 which means hd failure. not sure why windows xp works though???

    what oi would like to do is update xp and see if any errors on the system. how can i connect to the internet by means of wifi??

    ive managed to get to this bit on that tutorial not sure what to input as the instructions are not easy for me??

    Install the WiFi Driver to which I have linked. But you don't have XP installed now.

    its died a death now wont boot up at all. I think the hardd rive is !!!!!!ed.

    surely, silky should remove the W7 disk, and reboot with Ctrl+F11 to access the recovery partition and reinstall from there ??

    im back onto the command prompt. if i just type clean it says no disk selected, i dont know how to choose the disk??

    Should still be able to boot to optical disc.

    You should have chosen the disc before that step. You still have the instructions.
