  • the thing about posting it all on here rather than PM'ing is so others can learn from this too should they encounter the same problem - isn't it? If not, just PM each other and perhaps come back with the resolution? this is a community so sharing your experiences may help others. Just my 2 penn'orth

    You would go to Drive options (advanced) from there.
    But, the Recovery Partition is still intact, why was that not used in the first place?

    That would have been Ctrl+F11 on Boot-up.

    ive exploered the advanced option beofre.

    All I get are options, refresh, delite, format, load driver

    also new and extend but cannot press those optinons a ghosted out

    Refresh and Load Drivers are already there. Delete and Format would be presented, which is what you would need to do. But what about the Restore Partition? Is there a reason why was that not used in the first place?

    Im not getting any restore partitoin. I keep trying to format but keep getting the 0x80070057 error code???

    What happens when you boot up with Ctrl + F11?

    Did you delete the partition firstly?
