I have just spotted this thread, and they still have 2nd April for those 4 nights at Haven in Somerset, with a premier caravan for £40 each, it's still a bargain. Me and my hubby have paid for 7 nights at a parkdean in Dorset over easter and it's cost us nearly £500! LOL. I should have spotted this first, amazing value for money. Its £162.00 in total, plus passes probably, but even still, its going to be half what we paid privately over Easter!Whoever said 'Money doesn't bring happiness' isn't using it properly.0

hahaha, yes, I definately will. I've already got 4 breaks booked this year (including 2 long weekends), so I will either try and be sneaky and get something in the 6 weeks holidays come March, or wait until next year. May do France next year, I fancy taking the kiddies to Disney. I'm only in Hampshire, so not too bad a trek to Portsmouth or Dover.Whoever said 'Money doesn't bring happiness' isn't using it properly.0 -
Ah, just looked on the website and my bill break-down is there, wow £30 for power for 4 nights!!
I just had a letter through reminding me to pay this. I was pretty shocked considering I hadnt seen it mentioned anywhere when I was booking! I have done these holidays a few times and always declined entertainment passes and linen but I'm pretty sure I've never heard of this service charge for electric etc before. So what I thought was a £40 holiday turns out to be £70
Is anyone else in this situation or am I being niave?0 -
hi
both the Daily Mail and sun holidays always charge a service charge for electricity which is charged per unit per night... usually about £8 per night..the details are on the website on the extra charges section...
the service charge is always compulsory but the linen and entertainment passes can be taken off..

Thanks art, perhaps I am being a bit forgetful, the other 2 holidays were a while ago. I am considering cancelling the holiday for other reasons (friend brought me tickets to a show the day I am meant to leave for holiday) but I see from havens website any money already paid is not refundable. I think I have gotten myself in to a bit of a mess!0
