Had been hoping to book a 7 night holiday in South of France at end of June / beginning of July (did this with the Sun two years ago) - the Sun's cost us about £120 for the accommodation with line etc but the best quote I had on the Daily Mail site was £720 for a family of 4! I think i'll wait for the Sun as when you add in ferry, petrol and stops on the way it would come to pretty much what we paid for 11 days in Spain last year!

this is interesting as i have seen a few posting that the DAily Mail is very expensive for non uk holidays this time. We have never been abroad on these offers as have a dog but i did check the prices and put a france holiday into my basket (so i can see how much we need to save up when the dog has gone as she is very, very old:o ) and it was £500 - but did say price included dover to calais ferry..

I would be interested to know how much these holidays cost with the sun so i can start to save up....

I hope you get what you want next week with the Sun.

If you have had the confirmation then everything is fine with the booking. The extra codes are for people buying the newspaper who might have missed a day.

Re the price £42.50 - have you checked what the extra charges are for the park you have choses? they usually have service charges that are extra and entertainment passes / linen charges which are optional...

Thanks for the information as I was worried.
Yes I checked the extra costs before booking and according to the site things like gas/electricity and the bedding/linen is free (well more like included in the cost.:rotfl:) Activities like jet skiing and water skiing won't appeal to us anyway. Archery and swimming do appeal and apparently they are free to those staying at the park. Mostly we're planning to use the park as a base to visit nearby attractions such as Tattershall Castle and the coast. Chose this particular park because it looked more relaxing than some of the others. :)

what do you mean by weekend?

the holidays on both the sun and the daily mail promotions are

either monday - friday 4 night breaks

or friday - monday 3 night breaks..

Do you mean you can't find availability for friday - monday for your chosen dates? or are you just looking for a fri / sat holiday? If your looking for fri - monday what dates are they? are they popular bank holiday weekends? they might have sold out....

i have just looked and there is still availability for many popular weekends..
