Hi,
We went to Butlins last year, cant remember if it was through the Daily Mail or The Sun!
We kept with their standard accommodation which was one of the chalets. We had to pay extra for service charge and Linen. I think it cost for 4 Adults and an Infant £132 so def worth it!0 -

Does anyone know what time the website goes 'live' on the 7th? Don't want to miss out by not booking early enough0

I've received a few brochures from holiday park companies over the last couple of days and it seems a lot of them are offering off-peak (March and October dates especially) for less than it would cost to book through the newspapers.
For those not familiar, with the Sun/Mail breaks you typically also have to pay a service charge plus a linen charge (unless you bring your own linen) and an Ents charge (to use the pool, etc). These extras typically add around £35+ to the total cost, meaning that if you can find an all-costs-inclusive holiday for £70 it is actually cheaper plus you are guaranteed the park you actually want rather than be subject to the allocation lottery.
Check around the likes of Haven, Park Holidays, Parkdean, Park Resorts plus whatever other companies/indies are in the target area to see if this might be a cheaper and better way of booking.0 -

i only found out site had gone live a few hours after it had done so...and was in the middle of a minor crisis with ds coming up in a a major rash (all sorted now) but it meant i did not look at the availability until 4 hours after bookings opened..
it looks like there were some good deals to be had...
but
its weird the dates on offer include the same school holiday dates as the sun promotion and include lots of £10 per person holidays BUT these dates / prices were not advertised before hand....
weird:eek:
why sell better dates / cheaper holidays than you advertise????

Thought i'd just check the holidays on offer (though had thought this offer would be no good for me as the dates originally advertised didn't include school holidays) but have now booked to go away Feb half term and October half term. Very happy! Many thanks to Art and anyone else who posted the codewords :j0

Yes i have booked october half term dates as well - which were not advertised before hand, also my SIL booked june half term which was not advertised before hand..and a friend booked Easter school holiday week - again not advertised before hand, and with availability at Haven 5 star sites - its just weird they did not advertise these dates in advance.
Plus we booked £10 holidays (as i did last time with the Daily Mail offer) but it advertises as holidays from £15....
Some parks had no availability last night for certain school holiday dates.... it will be interesting to see if these same parks do or dont have availability for the same dates in the Sun promotion once the booking site opens.
Anway i hope some people managed to get the holiday they wanted..
