I was just thinking I don't want to go back to work tomorrow so I'll start a thread, beaten to it!!! Been off since 23rd Dec and have got used to laying in til 9.30 (ish :rotfl::rotfl:) so getting up tomorrow - yuck. I work from home so it's not as if I've got to go out in the cold but I still don't want to....0

I actually went back today and it was a pretty brutal first day back! Half the staff of usual doing four days worth of work in one day, it had to be done and we'd never have managed it if it wasn't for our wonderful coffee machine.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

I'll join in! Going back tomorrow after 10 days off and just want to be at home. Christmas wasn't great due to family traumas and after a bout of stress last year I just don't feel the same about my job anymore

I've accepted it will be difficult to find another job in the current climate so I am starting 2012 with the attitude of just doing my job and not getting too hett up over things....just hope it works!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

Yes, I'm back to work tomorrow. It's going to be so hard getting up early in the morning (whilst it's still dark). I've got used to getting up in daylight.
I got a stinking cold on my last day of work before Christmas and had a bit of a rubbish Christmas Day as a result. I've still got the cold and I'm waking in the night coughing and unable to get back to sleep again...really annoying since I have to be up early tomorrow and I can't catch up on sleep. I also know that I may not sleep well tonight worrying about going back to work and all the sh*t to go back to.
It's going to be a struggle getting up tomorrow - I went in to the office one day last week and it was very hard shifting my great carcass from the bed!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 2014

Also, my boss decided that tomorrow is going to be an Inset day, so will all be OFSTED focused and that'll just fill everyone with even more angst and dread about them than normal! First day back and basically a hell-ish day ahead.... So.... YES i am in total agreement and am dreading it!!!
:(
Sounds like you are a teacher hun - and in the wrong job. I bet the kids and parents wish you would find something else.
For your own sanity - try another career.0 -
The 16th of jan?? Jeez when did they finish and how long have they been off? Mine go back tomorrow :T Having finished Dec 16th. Not that it mattered this year but I find Christmas hols nightmare for childcare, especially since 11yo went to Secondary, so mid jan would be a pig for me to sort out.
They broke up on the Thursday before Christmas (22nd) - I always prefer them to finish closer to Christmas because it's less time beforehand for them to be wound up with excitement! They were due to go back on Monday the 9th, but we've got two days inset so they start back on the 11th, except we're off to DLP on the 10th for four days for my (big:o) birthday so they're not back until the 16th. Following that
? They are well chuffed to have nearly a month off.
I'm glad to be having a bit of extra time off in January anyway because it's always a bit of a mad time for us in work with all the Christmas related criminality going on. Keeps us in a job though so I'm not going to moan too much!
And I'm going to duck now before I'm lynched by the don't take your kids out of school for holidays Brigade
:D
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
I'm back tomorrow and whilst l don't like the alarm going off l do like being in the routine. I work for myself so am looking forward to logging in every morning and seeing if the Boots 75% off sale has started as soon as it does l shall be taking a couple of hours off to grab some bargains. :T
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but boots.com is actually going to be unavailable until the 6th January apparently. Can't remember what they're doing, whether it's maintenance or a relaunch of some kind but it's down for a few days anyway... I work at Boots head office, it's been on our intranet system for the past couple of weeks.:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
I'm also back at work tomorrow (finished on 22nd December). Feels like the hols have just flown over. Took down the xmas decs today and need to start going back to the gym tomorrow which all makes me feel even more depressed

Oh well, on the plus side though only 4 days at work and then it will be the weekend
2022 wins include.... £1,000 cheque £150 ASDA gift card £250 Impericon gift voucher £100 cheque £100 of plant bulbs £100 Bower Collective voucher0 -
Ok. Enjoy;)They broke up on the Thursday before Christmas (22nd) - I always prefer them to finish closer to Christmas because it's less time beforehand for them to be wound up with excitement! Me too as the state of my house and my nerves will testify to.:D Have already looked up when they finish for Xmas 2012 and their 1st day off is xmas eve.:T
