Going back after two weeks away to a bunch of grumpy teenagers (I'm a teacher). WHAT FUN.0

But my kids are desperate to get back to school.....I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Yup, back tomorrow, been off since the Thursday before Christmas (we were open for three days last week but I took leave). I'm in 3 days this week, one day next week then I'm on holiday until the following week. Hooray! The kids aren't back until the 16th either. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and getting back into the swing of it - not looking forward to getting back on the office politics treadmill again
.
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -

Ah so glad others feel the same! Dreading going back tomorrow, pre-Christmas was very busy for me and very stressful so I felt I deserved this break and needed it, but Jan - April before I go on maternity leave are set to bring lots of stress, with cuts to funding and staffing issues, would love to be an ostrich but it won't make it go away!
Roll on tomorrow AM!0 -

Sadly no. I last worked Dec 16th and was paid until NYE and that's it. Employer lost its contract so I've lost my job.
On the plus side I am looking forward to organising and de-cluttering the house. There's currentlya 'need' for me to be at home due to ill-health in family and coming into some money recently has taken the pressure off me finding work quickly, which as just as well. I've been nmade redundant at end of Dec before and job-hunting in Jan is dire and that was in the days when I could be more flexible and the economic climate was better!
The 16th of jan?? Jeez when did they finish and how long have they been off? Mine go back tomorrow :T Having finished Dec 16th. Not that it mattered this year but I find Christmas hols nightmare for childcare, especially since 11yo went to Secondary, so mid jan would be a pig for me to sort out.The kids aren't back until the 16th either.
