Well still struggling with the gambling but closing the accounts as they come back to me, seems I have not managed to close all of them.

Been to Tesco £61 but that was not for that much as I am not here most of next week to eat. Did buy stuff for cottage pie and lasagne and Spag Bol first lot in the slow cooker should get loads of it. We still have a lot of stuff in the freezer but with us giving FIL a bit it did need doing and now that DH can eat pasta it is quite nice to cook it again.

Been to the dump with a load of garden waste plus the xmas tree and had a Wetherspoon breakfast very nice it was and less than a £10 will make sure I dont have a huge lunch.

Want to go into town and sort Halifax out so DH can get added. Pay in my Music Magpie Cheque and DH has two cheques he needs to pay in too. He is watching the cricket and the golf so not sure I will get him out of his chair. Also need to change the pin on my Halifax account.

No real plans this weekend migh Ebay a bit I know I cannot list the lancome stuff for another two weeks but I am sure I have some stuff I can get rid off.

Did make it into town without DH got the form we need to complete and take back into Halifax with DH to sign and show ID then they can add him on. What a faff.

Got all the cheques paid in and then went to Boots to look at toothbrush. I got the Oral B one £89 1/2 yes I should have shopped around but I really liked it and had £2.50 gift card to come off. Then got £1 of if you spend £5 so got 3 other Oral B products (by 2 get 1 free) so now I have £10 to spend next time I don't have a voucher.

Sorted out I am staying with friend dad on Wednesday so need to book Premier Inn for Mon & Tues in Exter and Plymouth. Exeter has a Hotel Chocolate and a Long Tall Sally. Why or why am I in such a spendy mood.

    Hi TG

Well done on the progress you are making to closing the betting account but wow to the unexpected win! What are you going to do with the money, perhaps that is why you are in a spending mood ;)

How is your MIL doing, I can't believe all the things that have happened to her in the last few months, are very upsetting situation for all I'm sure.

I was laughing at all your nail varnishes, I have spells of always having mine done and got 8 new ones at Christmas but since then have only had clear nail varnish on :o

I've got a Nail Inc one myself, i saw it in Boots and loved it but you couldn't buy it as it was a special offer freebie if you bought two diet cokes, as i don't like diet coke I didn't bother but then changed my mind later on and went back and bought the cokes then gave them away to people at work but the nail varnish was mine :rotfl:

    Regards

More spending last night won a Kipling Handbag £27 brand new but excuse is I still haven't found a replacement for the one I lost in London. I think the unexpected win does have something to do with it but its the end of the month and have no money in my current account so cannot spend anymore now.

LOL to your nailvarnish I would have done the same and bought the Diet Cokes. They are expensive those Nail Inc one so that must have been a good bargain.

Yes its sad about my MIL we went to see her last night she seemed with it but she is having a camera up her nose thing and they wont tell her what its for just that is something everyone has to have done. I have not spoken to FIL so not sure. She did say he had seen Age Concern and they are going with the alarm once she gets home so that is good news. She has been told it will be another 2 weeks before her shoulder is healed does not sound right to me.

Just watched the European Handball Final on youtube, Denmark beat Serbia in Serbia to the Gold. Very good match and so glad we won. Cannot wait for the Olympic I am sure it will be shown on TV so I may have to try and get tickets.

Well need to get back to the stove cooking cottage pie for the freezer and some for FIL. Did
15 portions of lasagne and Spag Bol sauce yesterday so filling up the freezer again.

Booked hotels for tomorrow and Tuesday, Exeter and Plymouth so that means one more stay before end of Feb and I get my full 5 free nights. Thinking of going over to France for the day, staying in Dover.

What a mess I cannot believe I have done this. I am in Exeter tonight which is fine but I had mixed up my Tues and Weds meetings so had to rearrange everything. Now staying with friends dad tomorrow and then Weds with a lady I know through work so a saving for work and less hotels for me. Luckily the two clients I had were happy to swap things around too. I dont normally do this so have to be carefull as it was a right mess.

Totally a no spend day for me as I am on expenses very nice day but totally beat now going to watch Super Scrimpers that will start just as my 30min free wifi runs out.

Hope you all had a nice day.

  • Juat an idea with regars to your FIL, my gran is now in her mid 80s and not good on her feet , my aunt wants her to have a lifeline however she most definately does not, so after some research i have convinced her that have a portable landline in her pocket with my parents on speed dial. She will have a portable phone however the lifeline she will not. This also means if shes outside we can track her down!1 Just an idea and wasnt something we had considered until i looked on the net.
You seem to be doing well with the MS and savin.. Can i ask how much u make from zopa?
    xx

Morning thanks for the comments Becky she did have the cordless phone by her side before but when getting out of bed in the night to go to the loo she does not so lifeline it will have to be. I dont think she will object after having spent 2 hours on the floor she told me last time I saw her how cold and hard it was to lay they.

Zopa is very very slow I had my first £10 lent on the 4th Jan but today I have only lent our £80 so £20 to go. As they pay back monthly obviously no one has started paying back yet. Will keep this diary updated regulary and hopefully the last £20 will be lent before too long as the next £100 will be coming in.

Going for breakfast in a minute and see if I can get hold of 1 chap to Torquay before I need to be in Newton Abbott for 1.30pm, then Padstow, Truro and finally to my friends house outside Falmouth. Long day but should be good.

Foodwise been quite good yesterday I did have a glass of wine, but had a salad for dinner and no pudding also I did not go out for any chocolate. However I needed wifi in the afternoon to bought a latte and a cake and it wasnt even skinny. Read this article in the Daily Mail yesterday that is so me. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2093639/How-fight-fat-40-Youll-gain-30lb-year-eat-middle-age-did-30s-But-dont-despair-A-new-book-reveals-stay-trim.html

Oh blimey TG, glad you got that one sorted. Don't worry too much as it sounds like you've never done it before and I think the fact that your clients were happy to change is a good thing as to me it shows me that they trust you and that you have never mucked them about before, I know I'm far from understanding if someone has mucked me about in the past but much more accomodating when it's a one off etc

Thanks ATT they were fine in the end and I had a good week but it was hard work. Staying with my friends dad and a lady I know through work who is becoming a friend so that is nice.

    Online Shopping
Got my Nail Inc parcel and its mostly fab tried the magnetic one lovely really fab but I am not great at putting it on. Currently sporting a gold colour but need to practise. Hope my friend comes over at the weekend she is quite good at it can give me a few lessons.

Also got my Kipling bag its perfect for what I wanted but the plastic monkey seems pointless really cheap and nasty worse than you would get in a cheap cracker. Still I can take it off.

Not got the bras yet they were my final spend online.

    High Street Shopping
In Exeter I got a pair of grey Yoga pants, down from £30 to £20 then they had 12% off so paid about £17 no bad and I they match the grey top I already have. Quite lightweight though so no good right now its so cold.

Did get some hotel chocolate but resisted anything in Drakes Circus in Plymouth dispite walking through it 3 times (between meetings and it was the quickest route).

    Gym/Alcohol
As for gym nothing this week just had not had 2 min to myself. Alcohol will count that up in a minute not good though. Not eaten too badly missed lunch and a dinner so not too bad. Lots of Lattes though.

    Banking
Got my £1572 from the slots win, paid off my credit cards and sorted the banking out. Have fully topped up my ISA and cancelled the S/O so I can now wait to start the next one in the new tax year.

Halifax has paid our £5 so that was nice eventough I just did a standard transfer. Have already paid in the £1000 for this month.

    Zopa
Feb £100 had come in and when I looked it said my rates where too hight so I lowered them and now a lot more is being lent out. This is where we are at the moment. There is a total of £190 to lend out and £110 of that is allocated the rest is processing.

No one has started paying back yet as its really less than a month since it was all set up.

Here you can see the types of £10 loans I am lending out.

    Market Term Rate
    A*36 5.70% #
    A*36 5.70%
    A*60 6.60%
    A*36 5.70%
    A60 7.10%
    A*36 5.70%
    B60 8.50%

    A*36 5.70%
    B60 8.50%

    Y36 8.40%
    Y36 8.40%
    A*36 6.40%
    Y36 8.40%
    A*36 6.40%

#e.g A* (best credit rating) for 36 months at 5.70% interest if that makes sense.

Only going local today so not too much rush this morning and then catching up with work from this week I have not been able to do on the road.
