Plan to move to Denmark for FIRE by Autumn 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Well as I post my money making efforts I also have to confess to my money wasting ones and yes its the gambling again. I could not stay away and I have totted it all up. About a £50 loss which is pure and simply stupid when I had to work so hard to get that £30 from Ebay sales. I have now emailed them again and said they support responsible gambling so they should be able to close my account not have to wait 4 weeks. I will post on here again if I deposit and more money promise.
Today I am again working from home but then I am out for the rest of the week. Got lots to do so will keep me busy.
Going to Zumba tonight already got the tracksuit on ready.
Dinner will be roast chicken when I am back from the gym last night was Ham and Pea soup really lovely don't know why I buy it is so easy to make here is how I did it.
Sweat some onions, add a couple of leeks, add vegetable stock let it simmer about 10 min.
Add frozen peas and boil for another 5 min.
Whizz it in a blender until smooth, add pepper, salt a bit of cream if you have it (I freeze mine in icecube bags).
Add some left over smoked ham finely chopped (used my left over from Christmas.
Serve and enjoy!!!!
Would also be nice without the ham.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Good news gaming account firmly closed cannot be reopened and they will pay out so ticked off the box.
Went to Zumba never seen so many people there and really hard to get a parking space. Triedto do roast chicken and veg while at the gym but it was a bit burned when I got home had not asked DH to keep and eye on it. Will go to pump tonight but having soup so no hassle really.
MIL is back in hospital fell yesterday in the kitchen and broker shoulder and other hip. Honestly dont know what to say in a way FIL is better off with her in hospital but a 3 maybe 4 the major operation would they really do that, guess you cannot just leave a broken hip. Guess you can a shoulder that happened to my Uncle.
Going to have lunch with my old workmate really look forward to it so miss working with her and she has just recovered from Breastcancer.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Sorry to hear that your MIL has hurt herself badly. If Plan A fails, remember there are 25 more letters0

Thanks tjp70 she is at least a bit cheerful and I think FIL is relieved she is in a safe place he has just been down here and he talked about getting a panic alarm (about bloody time) and perhaps some care. She spent two hours on the kitchen floor before he came home and found her. Just not right is it? I sent him home with a load of home cooked meals and he is coming for dinner tomorrow. We saw MIL today and I will go tomorrow as well. She loved the photos we had developed from Christmas and some of BIL daughter.
Just made leek and potato soup and with that the freezer is now bursting with food ready to eat but DH has finally decided he can eat lasagne and pasta so happy days.
Nothing else money savingswise not been to the gym but my cold is almost gone so can do Zumba tomorrow. Not had much alcohol either so that is at least something.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Been quite productive, Zumba done new instructor which was really good so that means two different ones so lots to learn. Been to Makro to get loo roll and Parmesan cheese. Found a big bottle of multipurpose cleaner so can decant that into existing empty ones and 150 dishwasher tablets for £10. Total bill £44 but that was a lot of stuff.
Visited MIL again today she was not too bright but then she aways feel nauseous after the op. cooking slow roast pork from the cooking made easy book really easy let's hope it taste nice.
Forgot to tell you about a few Bodyshop bargains I got last week, 4 Bodybutters for £10 and it's was the large ones usually at £12.50 althought I have never paid full price for them. Also a hemp balm really good for dry skin and colds.
FIL on his way so need to get the final bit in the oven which is the pears. Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Weekly Update
Weight 85.2 so a small loss
Drinks 6/8
Gym 2/3 (had a bad cold so could not go mid week)
Happy with that all considering.
Roast pork as very nice perfect crackling not good for the diet but we all enjoyed it.
DH got refused for the Halifax accout due to an error I am sure its because I have just applied from this address and we are transferring a joint account. It says he can still apply in branch so may or may not do that. He has just applied for a Santander Card (the one with the free) but he did it by mail as they were offering to close his other account.
My Barclay card is now closed so once I have paid off my other Barclayscard that is being closed so I only use the new Santander one. Shame I dont buy petrol in a way as that earns you 3%.
Off to HQ today that should see me my 4th free stay in a Premier Inn looking to go away over Easter so will have to get organised for that soon.
Working hard this morning then setting off so I get there in time to watch SuperScrimpers as they are back at 8pm.Save £12k in 25 No 49

That's certainly not right. This happened to my grandfather. My DM got him a lifeline button to wear round his neck. Although getting him to use it wasn't easy - he had a heart attack during the early hours of the morning and didn't press it because he didn't want to disturb anyone! I think that your in laws could do with something like that.
I think we live close to each other - I live in Purbrook!
Well done with the weight loss.

Purbrook is close to here kind of on the way to the inlaws who live in Denmead. FIL has got AgeUK coming out to demonstrate the lifeline thingy on Friday he is really looking forward to it and wants one so fingers crossed she will use it. As you say older people don't want to be a bother.
Should really get ready for body pump at 6pm but don't feel like it really should go though.

OK spending update coming up quite a bit to confess.
So you know I spent some money gambling and I canceled the site well there was another one and I wasted £126 on that. Bad bad that was then I thought I have some free money on an old site lets have a look at that. When I logged in I got a total chock as my balance said $2180. I have absolutely no idea how that got there I got $20 free in December and played bingo with that but it must have locked me out before I finished the game and I have somehow won the Jackpot.
Well I played a bit (it was free money after all) and withdrew $2470 that should be just shy of £1500. I am not proud of myself and I am determined to give up 100%.
I bought the £10 photo book on Groupon for 40 pages so that will do for kitten photos and holiday snaps a nice way to show them to people. I have never done a book before but should be good.
Then I have just been online to look at the £15 for 6 nail varnishes at Nail Inc, well had to have that then needed a top and undercoat (don't normally use that) and then if you spent a bit more you got free delivery and a free gift. Well £47 later I now have 10 nail varnishes, 1 topcoat, 1 and undercoat a lot of money but if I don't like them I am sure they will sell on Ebay and I never have my nails done let alone do anything with them so this might encourage me.
Actually just checked the email and I unwittingly signed up for the VIP thingy which was £5 but 10% off so only cost £1.47 and I could not work out how to take it off.Well the VIP thing gives you 3 free nailvarnishes and a free birthday gift. Ups that is 13 on their way to me will never need to buy any agan.
Earned another free Premier Inn night that is 4 now recon I will get to the full 5 before end of Feb shame they have to be booked and taken so soon.
Did Mystery Shop did not really enjoy the food so had very little also had two beers last night so signature is updates.
Of to the dentist a 9am then conference call at 10am hope they have finished by then.Save £12k in 25 No 49
