    Good morning :)

So set up 2 new savings accounts so now have 6 accounts :o have renamed them all so clear what is what so I dont get confused.
    • 2 for kitchen extension, have around £8k in total, need twice that
    • 1 for insurance etc, currently have £288 in there, save £100 a month but need to up this, need to check figures
    • 1 for fun funds - currently standing at zero but have paypal money through so once set up properly will transfer that so balance of £15!
    • 1 for horse funds - current £292 in there, will be using some of this on friday for trainer, approx £100
    • 1 for emergency fund - currently standing at zero!
So now to start filling them all up and make some targets for them all at what I want to achieve. This is on top of having the targets to pay of all the oustanding debt. Well I do like a challenge :rotfl:Bring it on :D

Not a NSD today as need to get a card for OH's Auntie who died yesterday :( and get the trainer money out ready for Friday,

Good Morning, last day at work today as tomorrow off for hoss trainer :D

Thanks Zepsgal for dropping by. Sad about OH's aunt but she has lived for a year after diagnosis of brain tumour so has done really well. Sorry to hear you are struggling and hope things improve soon.

My OH is out of work too, he hasnt worked at all this week, he is doing final part of course next monday and then hopefully will have some work after that, fingers, hooves and paws crossed :)

Savings goals have been updated as have cool gadget on online bank which allows you to set up a tracker, on my current forecast will fail miserably on all my goals :o but like to see the little bars and like to see if I can achieve them, probably totally not as have set unreaslistacally at the moment with the debt payments but hey ho they are there ready for the future ;)
    • 2 for kitchen extension - no goals set yet
    • 1 for insurance - aim for £2160
    • 1 for fun funds - aim for £1k
    • 1 for horse funds - aim for £1k
    • 1 for emergency fund - aim for £9k
That should keep me quiet for a while

Who do you bank with? You can pm me if you don't want to say on here :) I love the idea of having a few saving accounts with little bars moving up (hopefully not down lol)

I do have savings, £70.01 in my isa :j It was £170 but I used £100 last month as we were skint :( Determined to keep the £70.01 safe this month lol!

Thought I'd pop in and say hi, I've read page 1 so far and plan to read the rest in a bit - the photo of Baldrick on the first page is lovely and he looks like he was a right cheeky chappy :) *hugs*

I too dream of owning my own horse one day, unfortunately mine is going to be a long time coming as I'm still at uni and want a house secured first - I estimate it'll be at least 10 years before I can even start thinking about it seriously :( But it will be worth the wait! :)

...and you haven't been affected by their shannanigans? I used to be with them, well, technically, I still am, as I have an overdraft there :o

How's baby horse coping with the heat? The Captain was very sluggish, we went for a stroll down a shady lane, but it was still very hot. I gave him a shower with the hose to cool him off afterwards, not that he appreciated it any :rotfl:

    Morning world :D

Kiss me now hope you get your horsie, lots of hard work and always super poor but definitely worth it :)

Piquant, thanks for dropping by, I must have been the only customer to be fine and not affected at all.

Hossie is doing really well, had a trainer down on friday, £90  but worth every penny as really helps. Another session booked for august, luckily had funds in horse savings and enough for the session in august, just need to save some more up now as wont have enough for anymore or the vet.

Spendy weekend ish, saturday went Truck racing at Donington. Managed to get some free tickets :j Took some sarnies, so just spent money on some fold up chairs which parents are having afterwards and some food in the services on the way home as motorway shut and diverted miles away so not as much, probably about £40 max.

Sunday didnt spend a penny, re-listed some ebay items, dinner was mish mash of leftovers from the week. Also sold 4 items on ebay yesterday so thats about £25 profit :D

Won £6 on the lottery over the weekend too so have transferred that to fun savings for holiday spends.

Already spent over my salary amout this month and only paid last week, but all big bills have been paid so will be using overdraft but only for around £100 for hairdresser, bank charges and misc spends.

OH is running out of money in his account :( so some of last weeks ebay spends will have to be sent to him to cover his bills. Luckily still plenty in the joint account to cover all the bills. Oh is owed some money for some work done so need to chase that up. Hopefully he may have some temp work coming up too, heres hoping.

Loan payment has gone out and another £30 of the CC so thats another chunk knocked of the debt. Expenses are also due so thats some money with the rest of this weeks ebay money to still use to pay one loan overpayment so still on track.

£15 gift vouchers came in post from survey site so keeping those for birthday presents, also got a book from a competition win so will read that and sell on if dont want to keep.

Morning world, bleurgh to the rain and soggy ponies drying themselves on you

£100 transferred from paypal last night, will send that to OH when received. Sending invoice today for OH work so that should be £150 coming in. This year will be fun with a mixture of employed and self employment so a joyful tax return to do next year, great

A NSD today, lunch bought in few ebay parcels to post nothing exciting just work and more work.

Hi BB - just catching up.

baby hoss sounds like she is doing great. :D I have still not ridden (2 weeks now) since gate incident. Swelling is nearly all gone although foot now black yellow and blue and very tender. They desperately need riding though!

Hope your OH manages to secure ongoing work - it must be a worry.

I too bank with Natwest and I was totally unaffected by the turmoil. I also have savings account - horses have one (well its just where I keep my budgetd allowance for them) and an emergency fund, joint houskeeping fund etc. Its a great way to keep track. :D
